I have tried this software and at first it was working quite well. It didn't seem to block too many sites I wanted to get into. The problem came when upgrading to a higher version. The password that was used upon installation was not working. I had to manually delete the program which brings up another issue. You can still delete the program in "Safe Mode" on WinXP. I do not know if this can be done with ALL programs but I am sure someone can figure out how to stop that as well. Overall, if you want something that a novice user will be using you might get away with blocking bad sites.

I would have to agree that this software has a lot to offer! I have no complaints other than maybe a couple of spelling errors. Also, maybe a cache booster for xp would be nice but what could you ask for since it is free, right?

TuneUp Utilities 2008

TuneUp Utilities 2008 version 2004

First of all, I would give this 4 stars! I can't seem to NOT recommend it but give it higher than 3 stars. I have to say that the lack of updates has made me not decide to buy this piece of software. Also, after an unsuccessfully uninstallation of the program...if you go to the folder itself and try to delete the contents you can't. I had to redownload the program and uninstall it to completely wipe it out. Finally, as with any piece of software, this does miss some invalid or missing files, shortcuts, etc. I would say it is a good addition to Windows XP but RegSeeker is free and better. If I am going to pay $40 I would want a suite!

ScrubXP version 1.01

The only bad thing about this is that it actually does to the cleanup EVERY time windows starts up. So if you have any personalized web pages they are not anymore! If only this program started but didn't run, it would be great.

I mainly installed this initially as a replacement of Nero so it would be free. I am mainly after burning and not ripping so much so I tried to figure out how to burn the files but it took so long to figure it out I got frustrated. Nero is so simple. You just tell it data disc and it recognizes your media and you can easily and and delete as you please. I have not tried the ripping so any reviews on that would be great! Thanks!
