Works perfectly, no hassle
TrueCrypt version 6.2a
I use Truecrypt on two 1Tb usb-drives in order to keep a backup for all my files. One stays with me, one backup is left in another place, in the hands of a friend. I don't have to worry about someone reading the content, f.i. if it would be stolen. I can use my regular backup-software (Dsynchronize, also free) on the encrypted disks. On my network drive (NAS) I have created a safe container that mounts as a drive in order to keep my kids away from personal sensitive date (bank accounts and so on). To end with: all my professional data is kept separately on a encrypted 320Gb mini-usb-drive, perfectly save to take with me in the car, in the buro, on a day-to-day basis. If stolen, it would be a small disaster, but not a big issue. Until now, this software works great, I encountered no errors whatever.

Not for me
Spyware Terminator version 2.5.1.028
Way too much bells and whistles And I don't like applications that have an extra toolbar to load. For me this is a no on beforehand. I got rid of it as soon as it was installed.

Complete and userfriendly
Revo Uninstaller version 1.75
Use this on all my Windows-computers. Is a the best way to get rid of left-behinds while uninstalling. Gives a good overview of what is installed.

Just what I need without the hassle
SensiveGuard version 1.06
Installs quick and smoothly without being heavy and trying to install toolbars. It's lightweight and does monitor in a very efficient way the in and outgoing traffic. If you like to know and control what's going on with your lan-connection this is what you need. A special "plus" for the "initiated by the user" filter. The user interface is i.m.h.o. as good as it can be: it's just about monitoring ins- and outs. That's all. No fancy tweaking and advanced preferences, bells and whistles needed. Maybe the first hour(s) of use it needs a bit interaction in order to allow or deny application(s) or to edit a personal rule, but afterwards you enter the "set it and forget it" stage. Very nice indeed.
