Good program but it's a resource hog
Talking Alarm Clock version 1.4
It's a good program for the purpose for which it's intended, but it's a headache to manage. It will run on your system whether you have an alarm set or not. Even if you disable all alarms and don't have it load at startup, it will still display them because of the background service that it uses, which can be disabled, but all this for an alarm clock. Very annoying. I would prefer a program to only run when I specify. When I turn it off, it shouldn't load any programs into memory nor display any alarms, period. In other words, if there's no alarms that need to be displayed, it shouldn't be loaded and using the valuable resource of memory. OVERALL: Good for the basic user, but the power-user will want to look for something else.

Good diagnostic for memory
Memtest86 version 3.1a
I had built a new high-end gaming/development PC and everything was running fine. Two weeks later I was having all sorts of issues booting up and running applications. It wasn't until I used this utility to check the 2 GB of RAM I had placed in the box that I found the issue. A bad memory module from a cheap supplier I had chosen. You get what you pay for, right. It's the best memory diagnostic I've come across so far.

Errors make it unusable
Money Manager version 2.3.3.0
Although this a freeware program (and thus not to be held to the same standards as purchased software), the bugs I encountered upon usage made it impractical. I encountered unhandled exceptions upon entering payees, bills, and creating accounts, which makes the program unusable. I am a .NET developer (C#) and have the latest hardware, software, patches, etc. and have no other problems within any other software. Try it if you'd like, but don't be surprised if you're uninstalling it fifteen minutes later. Developer(s) should revisit, review and debug code to provide better exception handling.
