This was the whole reason why i wanted to try linux, it is such a powerful tool that i cant say enough about it. I failed in each attempt at linux but now i have gimp for windows, nothing can stop me now :)

Good free alternative
avast! Home Edition version 4.1.418

This is a good free alternative to commercial software. (Free for Home Use) Some down points however, it does not catch all viruses that the other big ones can and is such a memory hog that it alone can slow down your computer to an unsuable state.

Very easy to setup and use out of the box. It is lacking in configuraton and features. Needs some more work but good.

Very intelligent step to go freeware with all the competition out there. I remember using this a long time ago and can now use it again, I actuall stoped using musicmatch to rip since I reinstalled this. Very stable but is lacking in some features.

It's a pretty big download, but it comes with alot of features. One of the best parts is that the right click menu in explorer actually works unlike some other zip file managers that seem to have a problem with crashes on extract. Overall you can't go wrong with such a fine product. p.s please remain free.

This is one of the best FTP programs there is, if not the best. It's very easy to use and is very stable. It is the only FTP program I use and I am very happy with it. It is updated very often and it is the one i recommend to all friends and family. Keep up the good work!!!
