I admit I was skeptical about using a "Free: antivirus program...but when it came time to renew Norton again, I just couldn't stand the thought of continually giving them money for subscription services....I tried a couple of the free AV programs and found Avast to be the coolest as well as the most effective (I purposely launched a virus on my old test box and Avast kicked its butt). I like the audible notification that the defs have been updated... so cool! "Virus definition database has been updated" ... He's my new best friend! get this one today!

This is a good choice when used in conjuction with Ad-aware, and used frequently.

This is an excellent browser, despite the rare instance where something doesn't work with any of the Netscape/Mozilla type browsers. Its much more secure than IE and IE based browser replacements.
