Truly excellent, in XP, too!
ReSysInfo version 2.1
I also run XP (Home Edition) on my Pentium 4 PC, and I have no problems at all with it. A comparable program is XPSysPad. It runs just as well as ReSysInfo, but its GUI is somewhat more spartanic. Both programs are excellent!

Not only excellent, but also safe!
Eusing Free Registry Cleaner version 1.1
Eusing Registry Cleaner is not only a superb program, but it is also a very safe program that doesn't remove vital Registry entries. This, of course, is very important, for a lot of other Registry Cleaners sometimes make a mess of your Registry, virtually more or less disabling your PC.

Atlantis is much better than microsoft word
Atlantis Word Processor version 1.6.1.3
Atlantis the excellent product of word processor developers who THINK! It has many more features than Microsoft Word (any version), such as double underline, easy insertion of special symbols, etc. The only thing I'd like the developers to add is a "print to PDF" feature like the one in Open Office.

I fully agree with talossos
FastStone Image Viewer version 2.6
Talossos is quite right. I tested the FastStone Image Viewer/Xplorer2 combination and indeed found it to be ideal and very practical! ...

Danger! don't touch this program!
Paragon Exact Image version 7.0
This is crippleware at its worst! When you want to delete a "capsule" (i.e. an invisible partition in which your image is placed) you must register i.e. purchase the program first! After uninstalling the program it tells you to restart your PC. When you do that, your PC will not boot and will ask for the Paragon Partition Manager floppy (which you will not have because you downloaded this program!). So there you will be: with an unbootable PC because of a thoroughly corrupted Master Boot Record (MBR)! Only using the Repair function of the original Windows XP Setup disk and typing FIXMBR after the C: prompt will prevent you from losing your partitions and, with them, your valuable data!

Why are some people griping about skype?
Skype version 1.4.0.78
Some people are always asking about anything "What's BAD about it?". Other people always start by asking "What's GOOD about it?". I belong to the latter category. As SKYPE is continuously improving, its quality is getting better all the time. Third party plugins, such as Pamela (the free voicemail utility), are available and add to an already magnificent SKYPE experience. Personally, I'm quite enthusiastic about SKYPE. If you want to make totally free calls to fixed phone numbers in a large number of countries, then try the VoipBuster program. You can use VoipBuster along with SKYPE. The two programs complement each other and live comfortably in your System tray. Enjoy!

Not probably the best, but simply the best!
Ashampoo Burning Studio version 5.20
I have been using my registered version of Ashampoo Burning Studio for the past half-year, and I have never felt so secure when burning my CDs and DVDs! Both the in-program and customer support are terrific. The user simply can't go wrong! Warmly recommended!

Rfa is really top notch!
Registry First Aid version 3.2.1.398
RFA is easy (and safe!) to use. One of the most useful features is the "System Restore" option. RFA is also very fast and effective. I am never anxious using RFA, for it deals with the Registry in a very careful manner, avoiding to delete essential Registry items.

This gem can easily be overlooked!
TrayBar version 2.4
Traybar is a real gem, a magnificent Program Launcher that takes up very few resources and works flawlessly. Because it is small and Freeware, it can easily be overlooked. Once I found it, however, Traybar has been my faithful companion, eliminating the "icons circus" on my desktop. I cannot work without it anymore. My advice would be: grab it and use it before it becomes commercial!

Removes remnant DLLs!
Cacheman
CacheMan is one of the very few Memory Managers that removes remnant DLL files, those DLLs that have been left in memory after having been used by a Windows program. I strongly recommend CacheMan if for this characteristic only.

Fantastic, reliable Download Manager!
Internet Download Manager
The Internet Download Manager, notwithstanding its unassuming name, is a fantastic and reliable download manager with many features not found in other such programs. One really feels "protected" when downloading files, because it gently warns you when problems threaten to occur. Strongly recommended!
