Great!
Sothink FLV Player version 2.0
I love this player. Everything about Sothink FLV is well done - great sound and video quality, easy to use and very clean attractive design. Good job! Thanks!

Excellent
Lupas Rename version 5.0
I've been using Lupus Rename now for almost ten minutes and just renamed a large file batch. It's powerful and very easy to use. I doubt if any other renaming utility can touch it.

I love cCockX but,...
ClocX version 1.4
The Pin to Desktop doesn't work (I'm using XP Pro). The clock will vanish from the desktop every time I go back to it unless I set it to 'On Top' so the clock is always visible, even in the browser. There's no Linux version as yet. There are no international time zones as yet (Buy hey, what do you want for free software?) Otherwise, what an absolutely great utility. It has a tiny footprint and is very easy to configure. Five minutes after download I had it set just as I wanted it. The visuals are stunning and the interface is a breeze. I only wish the clock would stick to the desktop and stay there. Maybe the next release will have this fixed.

Don't like it
Thunderbird version 1.5.0.2
Thunderbird is slow and e-mails arrive at odd locations in the inbox. Most annoying is when composing, the cursor will occasionally grace me with its presence but usually not, or appear only for a while then vanish. Typed text will hang and then catch up. When replying to some e-mails, Paypal for example, the contents of the foregoing message will be immersed in ugly red dotted boxes making it difficult to cut and paste elements. I was told that to improve the speed I should routinely compact the folders - a great idea if it actually worked. Adding a hyperlink or an image to an e-mail is a cumbersome several click procedure. If you want a really annoying and frustrating e-mail client then Thunderbird is for you. Check it out.

Great utility.
Polenta ScreenShot version 1.0
This is a very handy screenshot utility. The desktop icon does nothing - a minor bug. I found that the program is initiated by right-clicking the tooltray icon. From there on it's a breeze - a very cool utility indeed - captures a jpg of the entire screen or any portion thereof (and who can't convert a jpg if needed?) The tool even captures its own menu which is a very minor annoyance but otherwise this one's a keeper.

A great utility
A.F.5 Rename your files version 1.1
This was quite tricky to use at first but once I became familiar with importing an Excel file it went very smoothly. In fact, new users may be advised to use the find-and-replace function in Excel to make their file name changes, then import and batch out the file. A great utility to use in conjunction here is MouseSoft Directory Size, which enables you to cut and paste your list of file names (into Excel for example.) Another point - the system maxed out at about three-hundred files so I had to split them into two. If this happens to you, it's important to remember to save your file with under the three-hundred file names and close the file before importing into A.F.5, otherwise you'll get an error message. Here's a great programme - far less trouble than spending a weekend manually renaming. THANKS AND GOOD JOB!

Thank you mousesoft - good job!
Mousesoft Directory Size version 1.1.24
Lists of file names can be simply cut and pasted for use in Excel or other text editors. I searched for ages for a utility that would do exactly this. It's primary function as a directory size indicator may come in handy too. Highly recommended.
