Can't deny PS 7 is high quality software but the price is definitely not justified. The Elements version is way enough for most users.

Quality office suite

Openoffice is definitely a quality office suite. I really like the stripped down interface. However it lacks a mail management program like MS Outlook to be truly complete. Another problem is MS Office compatibility with complex files (Macros, graphics, etc...). If you do not exchange files with MS Office users, then Open Office is perfect. Nonetheless it's still a very decent Office Suite, ...RECCOMENDED !

avast! Home Edition version 4.5.523

Avast Home Edition is not perfect but it gets the job done (as a matter of fact it does rival commercial antivirus programs). The inferface is fairly good, a bit too "Winampy" for my taste ...but what I really like about Avast is the custom function (remember: not all computer users have the same needs)...HIGHLY RECCOMENDED

Great audio editing software
Audacity version 1.2.2

I'm a music producer, and I was looking for a free but complete audio editing software to record and edit samples. Audacity's interface is very user-friendly and it doesn't take more than half an hour to familiarize one self with all the features/functions. Highly reccomended.
