Having tried several spam blockers, Spamihilator simply works the best! Setup and configuration is a breeze. With selectable settings for spam control, you decide your level of protection. It's hard to believe you get all of this in a freeware program, but you do! Except for my personal desire to see a better system tray icon (not that there's anything wrong with Spamihilator's icon), there's not much more anyone could ask for when it comes to spam protection. The developers deserve the accolades they've received, 23 reviews and counting... that should tell you something!

Media purveyor... not for the novice user!

After reading the previous reviews, I had to see Media Purveyor for myself. The developers deserve tremendous credit for all their effort. A lot of work went into this program as this is one of the most extensive freeware programs I have seen. Everything does work with Media Purveyor contrary to the the previous three reviews. However, you will need patience to learn to navigate and use Media Purveyor. This program is not for the novice user or someone who prefers the "KISS" approach! Although there are many useful and convenient features for picture conversion built into Media Purveyor, the same capabilities are available in many other graphic programs with an easier interface. Having used many different graphic programs over the years, ease of use is what most people look for, including myself. Hopefully, the developers of Media Purveyor will continue their work with that in mind as they offer many wonderful capabilities with their program!

Pop-down popup stopper

After having tried just about every popup stopper there is, Pop-Down is the best! It has a simple interface and a nice Mushroom icon that rests in your system tray. The icon blinks and a sound will play (if you want) notifying you a popup has been blocked. Except for the rare occasion when a pop-under has appeared using WeatherBug, this stopper has blocked all popup windows typically used today. The only thing you may want to do is add it to your start up menu to make it start automatically. There are no annoying splash screens and the icon will appear in your system tray to let you know it's active. You do have to manually install Pop-Down as it comes in a zip file, but that's a small one time step that'll reward you time and time again. Best of all... Pop-Down Popup Stopper is FREE!
