Almost there
IM2 - Instant Messenger 2 version 1.5
New version is much better in some respects. I didn't try the ICQ because that was way too unstable before, so I just use Yahoo, MSN, and aim. Everything seemed to work fine, except as usual the more advanced features are only for IM2 users and I can't try those. Only bug is that after being open for extended periods, program tends to crash my internet connection. If we can just get that worked out..we'll be on.

Fantastico
Belarc Advisor version 6.1f
Outside of AIDA32, this is the best way to keep track of what's on the hard drive and where. Especially good for keeping track of those pesky XP hotfixes..

One big bugaboo
Adobe Reader Speed-Up version 1.31
Only problem as someone already alluded to is that the restore function does not appear to work and unless you know a bit about the internal architecture of resetting adobe reader..things get a bit tricky

Well it's free...
PrimoPDF version 1.0
This programs strengths are that it's free and it does what it says. The only problem is its very limited in features in terms of sixing the output and accessing that is a bit trick in terms of user interface. I think the program could use some kind of front-end for users, but again, it IS free.

Crap!
EscapeClose version 1.5
The program sucks! You get essentially only the option to CLOSE windows. You have to pay $15 for the more useful minimize, otherwise you've got to constantly go through TWICE the number of keystrokes to reopen everything if you're working with multiple windows. And what's worse the minimize you DO get requires two or three keystrokes when you could navigate there just as well. There is no interface at all really, you have to figure out this cryptic context menu that pops up with the icon by using the associated html file. When you uninstall it, they actually ask you why you're dumping it... You could write your own utility to do the same thing better in one afternoon with about three days experience with Visual Studio. hope they didn't take yo money!

Challenge!
Startup Delayer version 2.0.54
This is one of those programs which works fine if you can figure out how to use it. You have to really know which programs are set for autobooting in advance and transfer these to SD or else, it will attempt to load second and third instances of program. It appears to be unable to figure out what programs are already spoken for during the loadup process.

Excellent
Ad-Aware Free version 6.181
The only spyware program I've ever used without a single crash or bug so far. Beautiful and creative startup interface. Smooth update process. Fast, even with limited memory. A model program on XP

Got to work on interface
Spybot - S&D version 1.3
This program would work fine with the exception that the interface is not remotely intuitive and you really don't want to run it with many of the pre-installed features. The new version tries to do a system restore on XP for each change..you can reconfigure, but why would that be the default anyway.

Memory
SpywareGuard version 2.2
This program consumes way too much memory and processing time on XP Pro..if you also have a firewall, anti-virus software, and any other ongoing programs running.

Great software
SpywareBlaster version 3.1
Great..only possible irritation is that the auto-update feature is reserved for the paid version.
