Slimmed down - just got better

I first discovered CDBurnerXP version 3 when looking for an alternative to Nero 5.5. The one thing I noticed was the bloat, it was a big program. According to the website version 4 is a complete re-write and is really polished, very lean and works fantastically.

As has been mentioned by others JkDefrag comes with a range of options you only find on some of the best commercial defrag tools. What's more it does an excellent job, noticeably better than others I have used. It can also defragment disks which are VERY full, a neat trick, and has a screensaver option which is a really good idea. However unless you like getting your hands dirty I'd recommend using this with one of the excellent 3rd party GUIs which are available. Do read the instructions and visit the forum. Can't praise this one enough.

I used this product for a long time, nice interface and easy to use, it works. However there are better freeware products out there which do a much better job of defragmenting disk drives.

Not quite what i was hoping for

This is a nice enough program but I found I couldn't get along with it. The free version is too limited and overall I found it clunky and intrusive. However I can't argue with its effectiveness which has been reported by several others but it my experience there are better solutions out there. Not for me.

Excellent, uncomplicated and easy to use

This is an excellent utility, secure and easy to use. KeePass is completely independent - I have it running on a USB stick which is fantastic. You can also attach a file to each entry which is encrypted in the database, very useful. I'm gradually building up the database with logins, software licenses/keys etc. etc. Invaluable.

This is a superb utility, it creates very small PDF files and it is free! This has proved invaluable and I can't praise it enough.

I've been looking for a tool to help us find large files on our network drives. Directory Size might not look as flashy as some other disk tools but it is much more useful - the printing and export facilities (to Excel or Notepad) are excellent and not found on other freeware programs.
