I still use this 1998 program
NetLab version 1.4
I have used this since its release. One of the most comprehensive, easy to use applications for basic needs users. The only drawback is that there is some dated information included. You will need to look for an updated list to the time servers. Look under any search program for public NTP servers. Most use SNTP or NTP. Also, with so many places to register a domain name, the included whois links date this. In the WHOIS tab, you can add as many new whois servers as you like. Most will come up in browser supported whois sites. Quote of the Day never worked. If you got it, let me know! For free and no longer supported; this is *two thumbs up* for the simplicity of this software.

Putty does the job
Putty version 0.57 beta
I have used Putty for a number of years. It allows all the access you need to access your SSH server securely and warns of a change in RSA keys when a condition has changed on the local machine.

Overall it is...
LeechGet 2007 version 1.1
Con: The download GUI is big, and oldschool; then the systray icons. Ack! I never could get it to run more than 3 downloads. Did not sense a new mirror in the download when one flaked out. I thought it would resume by name, not mirror queue Pro: Allows four different ways to download files with the same extensions. Very nice. GUI area of download status rocked. The rest of the window sucked. Copy to clipboard feature allows to automize one part of downloading in hidden file locations

Spybot s & d delivers
Spybot - S&D version 1.3
I have been using Spybot S & D for nearly a year and a one half. Upgrade from 1.2 to this new version is a MUST. OK, stop reading this and download already! :-)
