This program does sync/backup in a real efficient manner. I can hardly think of something better.

At this moment, it is the best desktop search. It successfully indexes everything on disk. It does quick search. It has preview in window. It arranges results by date, file type, etc. It allows image search on disk with thumbanails. I doubt that Google will have anything of this (except good indexing) even when it moves from beta.

Adaptive (learning) junk mail filter is of some use, colour (important, to do etc) labeling of types of messages, intelligent auto-complete, possibility to easy view all headers, etc. is enough to try this e-mail client. The biggest problem is that switching back to another client from Thunderbid hard, but possible.

Microsoft didn't do anything to improve its IE for years, while competition had done many thing to improve their products. It has some fundamental security problems, and it lacks many features which are basic today (e.g. tab browsing).

Firefox removes many annoyances that IE causes (pop-ups, viruses), still bringing new features (tabs) and being easy to use and easy to switch from IE.
