Thumbs up for the little player
XMPlay version 3.2
Resource light, super small - less than half the download size of @MAX Tray Player - and yet packed with great features. A great compliment/alternative to your main full-blown player like Windows Media Player, etc. In addition, the player can be greatly extended via a variety of free plug-ins. Very Cool.

A neat addition to your utility toolkit
Ycopy version 1.0b
Ycopy (currently at version 1.0b) is one of those utilities that you seldom need but when you do it's worth its weight in gold. It's a real time-saver when bad things happen to your hard drive/data. The program's only ability is to copy folders (you can't select individual or groups of individual files). But, corollary to this ability, it will (unlike virtually all file managers) skip corrupt files and provide a report listing the file(s) that was not copied and it's location within the source folder. Ycopy's simple interface, small size (332kb for the executable; which is all you need to put on your rescue media) and niche ability makes it a must-have-tool for power users/techs.

A very good and useful utility.
XP-AntiSpy version 3.93
The writers of the negative comments must be on crack. In fact, while this software may have rated 3.5 stars two years ago it's constant improvement should be grounds for a new review and a rating of at least 4 stars. Yes, a technical person can do everything this program does, (I use to) but why? It's like coding in Assembly just because it will produce code of the smallest size. It's much quicker and with less likelihood of you inadvertently messing something up in the Registry. If you're looking for a safe, simple, way to disable certain Windows/IE/Microsoft Office settings, then give xp-Antispy a try. I think you'll like it. Tip: Don't modify the settings, then exit, and restart the utility for more modifications without restarting your PC first.

Abilon version 2.5.3 b196
I concur with Knower(3). Abilon is simply the best news aggregator I've come across. I've tried many others listed at SnapFiles, Nonags, and Tucows. But none combined the featues and ease of use. The memories and archiving features work well and unlike other readers it has never given me any problems importing from or exporting to the Built-in RSS reader in Firefox or to ThingamaBlog. While it may not be perfect the only negative in my opion, is that the web site http://Abilon.org never clearly indicates when new versions are available. The download page always refers to older version numbers. At the time of this post 2.5.3 build 196 (released December 2004) was available but the download page only indicated that version 2.5 (released in October 2004) was available.
