Exactly what i've been looking for
NetSetMan version 1.10
Very simple, yet tremendously useful program - I move with my laptop between office and home and manually changing all the network settings was a pain. Using this software makes it as easy as clicking on a profile tab - makes me wonder why something like that is not a default Windows feature - it sure should be.

Very good results.
PhotoCleaner version 3.0
For the price, this program is the best I found. The options seem very simple at first, but they work surprisingly well. Most of the times the results are perfect and a few times I was really surprised how good the pictures came out. From time to time the program misses horribly and makes the photo unwatchable, but such occurrences are rare and easily remedied with a quick change of settings. Overall a really nice program definitely worth a try.

Great, but much too pricey
VisualRoute version 8.0f
This piece of software is great, there's no doubt about it. Many features, ease of use, nice interface and so on. But charging almost $50 for it? Sorry, but that's way too much. There are other programs on the market with similar functions that are either free or very reasonably priced. I don't see any reason to pay that much for a software with fairly limited uses. If the price would be cut in half I'd probably buy it, but as for now I recommend trying some cheaper alternatives - this one is simply not worth the price.

No point in using this one
HTML Compress version 5.3
I sincerely don't understand why anyone would need this program. Sure, it compresses HTML, but first, does 10 kilobytes of saved space really matter? Then remove one animated gif from your webpage and you'll save more. Then there's another thing - did you ever try to make corrections in a compressed code? I did, and I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. Sure you can keep an uncompressed backup, edit it, then compress it again and upload to the server - it's not worth the hassle though. Just stick to image compression - in my opinion the concept of HTML shrinking was made redundant even by 56k modems - simply put, why bother if the difference is unnoticeable?

Simpy the best
PopTray version 3.03
This is my email checker of choice. It also takes care about spam, has a nice, simple interface and is really stable and easy to use. Haven't seen anything better yet and I've probably tried every other checker on the market.

Does everything competition does - for free
MWSnap version 3.0.0.74
This one is easily the best free screen capture tool I've come across. Clear, configurable interface, many features and very easy to use. In my opinion it is even better than all the paid software on the market - does everything other programs do (plus more - for example it has a built-in color picker and a ruler tool among others) and it's completely free. Great software I can recommend wholeheartedly.

Mybe not a beauty queen, but it's worth it
foobar2000 version 0.82
I'm using this one from the very early stages of development, when it was just a really simple player with almost no impact on system resources. Now it still is not at all resource-hungry, but you wouldn't call it simple, no sir. To be honest, the number of features exceeds any other player I've seen. It can be intimidating at first, but fortunately this player works very well right out of the box, without fiddling with preferences at all. If, on the other hand, you want to fiddle... the fun never ends. You can customize almost every aspect of playback - custom sorting routines, multiple playlists in a tabbed interface, resampling, replaygain (setting the volume of all your files to the same value without any loss in quality), visualizations (there are plugins enabling the use of the ones from Winamp too), the list goes on and on. This player does exactly what I wand and so much more. I recommend it to anyone - try it and you won't regret.

In my oppinion the best browser around
Mozilla Firefox version 0.91
I've switched to this browser from IE about a year and a half ago and I don't regret it one bit. For a novice user it may seem a bit confusing at first (not too much though), but after you play with it for a while you won't want to go back. The feature list is huge, and there are tons of plug-ins (called extensions by the developers) that enhance it even further. You can install mouse gestures-based navigation (extremely useful), additional ad-blocking capabilities, menu enhancements and much more. Simply speaking - everyone should definitely try this one.

Extremely good, but slooooooow
disclib version 1.0.4
This software would be perfect if the search function was not so painfully slow. It has a good interface, is very easy to use and does exactly what I want it to do. Unfortunately, if your collection is larger than, say, 10 CDs or so it takes AGES for the search to complete... You can still browse the volumes fine and I usually do that instead of searching, but problems start when you look for this one file you remember you had, but can't recall where... If the author fixes the search function this software will be the bes one on the market in my opinion. Until that it's unfortunately only one of the good ones.
