After encountering some problems using Roxio to burn discs from ISO images, I gave CDBurnerXP a try. No more problems. Great for data discs,too, and my friend tells me it does well with audio discs. One of the best "freeware" programs I've tried, and one I feel very comfortable introducing my clients to.

I wanted an attractive, easy-to-use, calendar program. Rainlendar is the perfect, "low-fat" answer to my routine calendar and to-do list needs. Unobtrusive desktop presence blends nicely on any desktop, and puts Rainlendar's features at my fingertips. Does just what I want it to do. Thanks to the author!

Another weapon in the arsenal!
SpywareBlaster
- Overall:
The improved interface of SpywareBlaster 3.1 is great, and the excellent auto-update feature is well worth the paltry registration fee. Basically provides the protection of the "Immunize" feature in SpyBot, but without the frequent problems connecting to a server to download updates. The free version goes on every computer at our school.

Great little program!
StartupMonitor

I think StartupMonitor is underrated. There is absolutely nothing to lose by installing this very small footprint utility to provide an additional level of protection against unauthorized modifications to the Registry. There are no frills, but that s actually one of the nice things about it. Total no-brainer!

Best I ve Ever Used
TuneUp Utilities 2008

Takes the place of a bunch of other utilities. Safe to use. Great interface and clear explanation of what each module does. Results can be dramatic. The price is reasonable, if not downright cheap. Highly recommended.

Avant is excellent!
Avant Browser
- Overall:
I got so tired of popups in IE, I switched to Mozilla. Mozilla is nice, but there are sometimes problems displaying certain Web pages. Overall, Avant does a better job, is faster, and offers all the features of better browsers, like Mozilla. Hard to believe this is a free product.
