I finally got around to looking for a new firewall and decided to give Comodo a try. The install was fine. I looked over the interface, a little confusing but not too bad and it had the ability to customize the rules which is something I really like. Unfortunately it secured my PC a little too well. I couldn't do DNS lookups no matter what I tried. I set it to "allow all", I made the DNS server a trusted zone, I even exited the program, still no DNS. So I uninstalled and rebooted and hey, I'm online again. I looked nice, but I think it's trying a little to hard to the all-in-one security solution. I just want a good firewall.

Excellent little app that makes it simple to move a few files to another computer without the hassle of FTP servers or Windows networking.

It's got lots of options. It does it's job effectively and doesn't get in the way. An all around great little wallpaper switcher.

I just wanted something to sync on boot and then exit. I'm not doing anything time critical so I don't need hourly update or anything. This little does the job wonderfully. My only complaint, and it's a minor one, is that it comes with a large list of servers and it's kind of a pain going through them to find one that's nearby.

Startup Control Panel is an excellent little util for gain visibility into your startup programs. It will let you move things between startup areas, disable/delete and edit items and add new items. The interface could be improved but it's better than many others.

I'd been looking for some decent backup software for a long time. SyncBack is great. It does what I need, does it fast and isn't a pain to set up.

Stroke-It is fabulous! Mouse gestures for everything and all in 250k of memory. Everything should be coded so well.
