I am impressed about this defragmenter. It has functions and defrag methods we can only find in much expensive software - I own one of those - and it does the job really well. Besides we can also download and use one of the various GUI made for this little gem. Excellent

I use Spyware terminator for more than 8 months and I recommend it. I do not know any anti-spyware tool that does not slow down the machine while scanning for spyware. Real time protection works fine,lots of interesting features in a way, that i uninstalled other anti-spyware programs I had, like Adaware and Spybot. Terminator with Avast antivirus is all I need.

Used Firefox for an year - versions 1.5 and 2.0 - and at the end, I ended with Opera. The most interesting thing abt Firefox, are the addons that one can integrate with the browser but had many crashes with version 2.0. Opera is faster, does not eat as much memory as Firefox does and at the end is more user friendly than Firefox. However, Firefox is a good alternative to IE...but not for Opera.

Fast, simple, very reliable and with a good array of features and possible plugins, IFW is probably the best imaging software on the market. Either if you make a direct DVD image boot disk or a "file" on a external drive and a boot disk with IFW plug-in with BartPE builder, you cannot go wrong. Byte for byte verification is a plus, which gives us peace of mind. Used Norton Ghost 9.0 which is slower, eats a lot of memory and by no means is a reliable as IFW. Had many problems with an old disk drive and IFW saved me a lot of times until I decided to substitute that drive. A great piece of software.

Since day one I am an happy SB user. Tried many BK apps, some of them considered top ones( ie NovaBackup and Retrospect,much more expensives) but SB still remains for me,the best one. It can lack the ability to make a CD boot recovery disk (for that I use Image for Windows with excellent results)but with so many features it does the job the way I want it. Full,incremental,differential backups,syncronization, verification, hashing comparison, 3 compression algorithms with 9 levels each,or no compression at all, safe copy, FTP support, a battery of features that once we read the documentation,we will find the right method for our backups, with the right preferences for each backup.This is the kind of app,that the serious user that do not want to loose its valuable work,should have. Very well done and written. Congrats to 2 Bright Sparks

The only bad thing I have to say about this great explorer, is the not so good GUI, which by the way it will be improved in the next release.Otherwise, it's a great replacement for the windows explorer, not as complete as Accelman - but in some ways, more practical. I use it very often and I am satisfied with it.

It works, works fine and silently. A must have for concerned parents. It can save you and your children from headaches. With so many internet and chat abuse, its a nice program to keep logs of chat messages and to avoid further problems , if any.

Tried other two RSS agregators but Wticker is the most complete and probably the best of them all. Although the initial configuration can discourage some, the fact is that afterwards, it works like a breeze. Very nice piece of software.

I am convinced now with Netscape. I am ( or was ) an Opera user and I must say that this new version of Netscape is very good indeed. First the ability to use both rendering engines - gecko and trident - then the security center really works and works well. As said by other reviewer, when scanning for spyware on my machine, it found things that Adware SE Plus and Spybot missed. It accepts the Roboform plug-in ( a must for myself ).Its fast enough - much faster than IE ( even with Deepnet explorer installed ) and on par with Opera. This 8.1 version does anything to do with previous versions of Netscape. Give it a try a take your own conclusions. I am convinced with this new version.

Although I use Opera for my daily web browsing, as some sites only work correctly with IE or IE based browsers, I had to find an alternative to IE, as I am used to tabbed browsing and speed, things that IE cannot offer me, mainly speed. I have tried all IE based free browsers for the last 3 years and I found that Deepnet is the most simple yet effective and fast IE based browser with some nice features - anti-phishing report is one of them. I think you should give it a try. You won't regret it.

I am a photographer and work a lot with images. Besides my main "digital dark room" programs - Gimp and Photompact - FSIV is a great image browser with an excellent array of features that in some cases, it is not worth to open the other two, as I can make the small adjustments with FSIV with very good results Great freeware program, no doubt.

For a long time I've used the IE based browser Maxthon, and tried several others, including Firefox.However, for my daily browsing needs, I trust and use Opera,as it is a really fast browser - the fastest of them all - , simple to use, highly customizable, safe and free. You should give it a try. It's worth it

Although a steep learning curve, and a cluttered worksapce sometimes, the Gimp is an excellent image and graphics editor. I used PhotoImpact but Gimp offers me exactly the same features and a lot more and in some features, is much easier and user friendly to use than PI.And it offers the same power as Photoshop. And it's free. First users may be detracted for the hard learning curve it offers but should give it a try, as it has a very good on line tutorial as well as help files. It's worth it.

I have two FTP programs in my machine. Smart FTP for the more quick tasks related with the websites I am responsible and ... for other related FTP works. The more I use ..., the less I use Smart, not because Smart is no good - it is very good - but because ... gives me aditional features that makes my web administration and developing much easier and simple. Its a very stable program, feature rich, not heavy on the system and it works perfectly. Highly recommended.

Tried ...,and ....The latter, on 2 different computers,after analysis, crashed both computers. O&O, did the job and still does it perfectly,fast and it is very reliable.Defragmented my hard drive and partitions quick and effectively.Very nice software, full of options.Cant go wrong with it.A little expensive but...does the job nicely

I use MailWasher Pro for sometime - app.2.5 years - and it's getting better. Spam it's really filtered and deleted automatically from the server, as per user "learn" mode to the program.It's fast and only lacks the ability to view legitimate mail in html form from the source.Nevertheless, a very simple and efficient spam eliminator

..it just simply lacks the ability to filter spam and junk email, as per user definitions. However, i must say that it is for me the BEST pop notifier on the market. The ability to read html emails from the source, the ability to answer emails directly from the program without the need to save them on disk,the ability to have a protected password for all the program or only for the accounts we want, the ability to read almost any web mail - even Gmail - just fills the needs of the serious user. The filter tool would be welcomed.

I use Namo WE since 2003 and it's a great program and it has becoming even better with the upgrades. very easy to use, very good all around support. Need to say more? It seems that one of things we need, every time we buy a program, is, besides it functionality, to have good, responsive support.Namo has it all.

I have tried some File Managers and found that AccelMan is the best of them all.The features it offers are excellent, very easy to use - at least when we are used to it - and the panoplia of interface schemes so complete and useful, that it is almost impossible to miss one that is the adequate to specific works.The integrated viewer and player are vey handy.Upgrades are free for the lifetime of the product and the support from the Flexigen people is very good, - Jan Safonov is very patient and helpful - which is very important when we might have some questions or problems to solve.The only thing I really miss , it is a built in FTP client, to manage, organize, sincronize and whatever "ize" I could do with my websites, but as far as I know,this feature might well coming soon.All in all, a very impressive piece of software.Well done.

I was looking for a long time for a logo maker and after trying three other applications, I decided to buy AAA Logo. Very easy to use, with lots of graphics and fonts, and a panoplia of effects that produces the logo we need. A bit expensive compared to others, but very stable and with a very small footprint. Try it.

This is one of those programs people who deal with the same files on several locations can't live without it. Its an excellent way to compare the same file or folder on two different drives, update/copy/delete them, to compare text files and has an array of extra features that can not be described here. Also and very important, is the customer support, which is extremely good and fast.A truly five star piece of software.

This is a great program. I use AXCrypt to send encrypted documents over the internet but nevertheless, when these documents are sitting in my computer anyone can see that they are encrypted - and well encrypted, as AXCrypt works flawlessly - but it shows as encrypted files. Folder Lock on the other hand, can effectively "hide and encrypt" complete folders , nice and easy. Its a must have program for anyone concerned with their privacy and sensitive documents, on any shared computer or network. It offers also an easy way to encrypt to removable media.Very nice program, with lifetime upgrades.

I have used a lot of different notifiers, but found PopTray the best of them all. Very simple to use, very simple to classify and organize mails, very low on system resources, this little bugger does the job superbly. Very well written

Clean cache it is really a very good piece of software. It keeps systems clean and it is very easy to use and understand. Among many other features, it can be scheduled to run at system start-up, clean and exit , which is very very useful. Worth a try . Very stable.

Being a serious amateur photographer, I use Photofiltre along with two other software programs ( in this case Photoimpact 8 and Picture It ) but in most cases, no need to use the other two. Photofiltre is an excellent piece of software.

I have my own web site and use Smart FTP a lot to upload , download and maintain the site and also to back-up important stuff and Smart FTP is fast, full of features and very secure FTP upload/download software. Simple things are always the best things.

I have two other programs from these guys at Nirsofer and all are very simple, yet useful and well written programs. MyUninstaller is another fine example how a program can be very small, complete and useful. With MyUninstaller we do know exactly the version programs we have in our machines, installation date, software maker, version, and even the uninstall string and the programs main registry key. Need to say more ? Try and keep it.

Tried almost everything, from Firefox and Mozilla, to Opera, also SlimBrowser and Avant and even Netcaptor - which is for free now - and after intensive testing, I found that MyIE2 , although not perfect, is the one that is more stable, suits my needs best and has great features. After MyIe2, I would go either for SlimBrowser - which revealed a bit unstable in two computers running the same OS - or Netcaptor - which only has the Adblocking feature if you pay 29.95$ ( MyIe2, SB and AV has this for free ). And I am referring only the IE based browsers, because if you want a real alternative to IE, try Opera - for me the best and fastest of the non IE based browsers - or Firefox/Mozilla. The problem are the incompatibilities with some web pages these non IE based have. At the end, MyIe2 is a very good tabbed IE based web browser, full of features. Give it a try. Necaptor is also a very close call, as it revealed very stable and fast

I have tried many back up utilities and used Syncback since version 2xxxx and it still stands out of the crowd, in terms of reliability and ease of use. Top notch software.

It is not the fastest ripper available but it is s for sure one of the most efficient and safe. Besides, we can encode in almost any available format, from "flac" to MP3, it accepts all. Great program

It does what it claims and in a very efficient way. Uses little resources and works just fine. I only wonder why the project has eventually stopped, as this version is a 2003 version. Well, if it works ok, does not need further improvements, I guess.

I use Adware and Spybot for a long time and never had any conflicts with both of them. I find however, Spybot a more interesting product as it explains more in depth what those nasty keys really mean.

I use Nero for almost 4 years - since version 5.0 - and upgraded today to version 6.31. This is a great program, to do almost anything we need related to audio, video and data recording. And the use of Nero Wave editor with the MP3 Pro plug-in - I paid also for that - its a must.
