Quick ShutDown is a useful shutdown utility. With it you can set 'Hot Keys' for shutdown, restart, lock, eject disks from drives (you can even choose which disks to eject and whether they should automatically be ejected on shutdown.) It runs in the tray. Right clicking the tray icon allows you to choose from seven shutdown/lock/restart options and you can set it so that when you double-click it, it shuts down or performs another task. If you don't like the tray icon, you can change it to one on your computer. Overall, an excellent, simple piece of freeware.

CleanCache securely deletes a huge number of different MRU directories, Temp. Internet files and cookies (for loads of different browsers, not just IE!) It can clean loads of TEMP. directories and works in the background. Try the latest version if you have trouble installing. As for any security issues, I feel reassured that this program will do 'what it says on the tin' and that the publishers will respond to any security threat. Overall, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this program.
