Norton
Norton AntiVirus version 2004 10.01.13.3
It has many features, great virus blocking and many other features. It's expensive, but I bought the 2004 version for 10 ($14) which is quite cheap.

Very good programme
Weather Pulse version 2.04.3
Very similier to weather watcher but slightly better. Nice interface and is not bundeled with Adaware or Spyware. I couldn't find an option on how to change Fahrenheit to degree, but isn't exactly a problem. The current condition seems to be very accurate even to the smaller towns. Overall, very pleasing and has an easy to use interface.

Much better ones out there
Bazooka version 1.13.02
This programme failed to pick on many Adware and Spyware types. Even the known ones like Gator. Even if it does pick up on them, it still requires a lot of mucking about to get rid of them.

Excellent protection
Sygate Personal Firewall version 5.6
Certainly one of the best Firewalls available.

Very effective
avast! Home Edition version 4.5.549
And packed full of features. Great detection rate and updates released frequently. Auto update works very well. However with all the features it can be difficult to set up.

One of the best
Avira AntiVir Personal version 6.29.00.03
Probably not as good as Norton but has good detection rate and scan is pretty fast. There are many updates released frequently. Interface is extremely poor.

Not bad for freeware
Spybot - S&D version 1.3
Not a bad program although lacks detection rate and left quite a few spyware threats that Spysweeper and Adaware picked up on. The interface is easy enough and there are a few features. There are much better programs out there, but is still good if you don't have any money and works well with Adaware.

Very effective
Ad-Aware 2007 version 1.05 SE Pers.
Despite the lack of features and the fact it's free, it still does a good job of removing Spyware, although I would class it to be more of a Adware remover. Foud some tracking cookies that Microsoft Anti-spy and spysweeper failed to pick up on.

Very effective
Windows Defender version BETA
I found this software works well with Spysweeper and does as very good job at keeping spyware out. Acts as a kinda, Firewall for spyware threats. Possibly not quite as good as Spysweeper, but there isn't much init.

Effective
Spy Sweeper version 3.5
Doesn't find and protect against all adware and and spyware threats, however gets rid of the nastiest of threats and sometimes leaves the minor ones.
