Having read the excellent review on Snapfiles I downloaded and trialled this software. It works great and is a fresh and original take on personal finance software. In fact I was about to buy it, until I read about the registration procedures on their website. The registration code they give you expires after a period of time. So if like me you regularly change your IT kit, you have to hope they are still trading when yo want to reinstall, re-download the software and ask them for a new key. I understand they want to stop piracy, but I use a lot of shareware and this is way over the top! What a shame

Purchasing Budget via our reseller eSellerate provides you with a code that does not expire. The only time you get a code directly from us that does expire is if there is some problem with the code you get from eSellerate (very rare) or if, you are running the 64 Bit version of Vista. The codes we provide do expire after a period of time if they haven`t been entered into the software. In order to manage money you need to know where it will come from, what you have done with it in the past and what you are planning to do with the money you will get. Budget is the best piece of software I have seen to do the last piece. On simply opening the software you know where you are for the month money wise and you can make decisions as to want you want and can do with what you have and whether or not you are on track.

I would not recommend software this visually unappealing. It works 'ok' but the appearance detracts from the usage so much it is not worth it. This is the OSX/Windows Vista era.. people expect better.

It took me a few months to talk her into it, but my wife (who pretty much hates computers) is now using this program instead of a load of actual envelopes in a firesafe. it's basically a virtual version of what she was already doing to budget our income/expense. the difference is that the program makes no mistakes, she does. Great app if you devote your full attention to actually using it to keep track of your finances.
