Ever wondered what the kids have just closed?
Whenever you walk into the room, you see a web page or app box closing and your kid is sitting there all innocent... Be bugged by it no more, you can shut their machine down to save them closing that dodgyness their doing.

Works well
This is an excellent program but the free version doesn't include file transfers, so if that important to you it would be better to use TightVNC.

Tool to have
If you do remote support or just help out the family from your home, this is the software for you! Great on small budgets (since it is free) and works!

Helpful tool for the quick fixes!
I deal a lot with family members, friends, and customers who seem to all be very un-"computer friendly". Most of the time it would be an easy fix if I was there, but since they are so far and explaining over the phone is near impossible I decided to use VNC. With this, I install it when I'm at the PC, and show them how to give me their IP. Now I don't need to drive to Tracy to help install a program or to set a new background. No more long phone calls to change something so small.

Brilliant
Been looking for this kind of program for ages. I can now access my dad's computer 60 miles away and sort out problems from the comfort of my own PC. Easy to use, small size. Not feature rich but for simple and straightforward tasks it fits the bill. You can't ask for much more as it's FREE!

Winvnc
WinVNC is the tool we use at work. It functions well enough for Help Desk use and server management. At home I use UltraVNC. A few more features and constantly updated at SourceForge.
