Great program
Great FTP program. Very Easy to use, has everything I am use to in an FTP program, and at that cost I would recommend it to anyone.

Nice ftp app with a couple bugs
I like how this app allows you to edit html pages right from the server, then uploads the edited file from your editors temp directory. But it won't do the same for php files that I can tell. The other thing is that while transferring 30-40 files at a time, it stopped on me and I had to force it to close, then could not delete a file in a directory I was uploading from because it was locked by the surfer.exe still running. Other than that, it is a pretty unique FTP client.

Thumbs up for beginners.
This is all you need! It's so easy and self explanatory. I haven't even gotten into the advanced stuff, but I'm happy to know that it's there for when I do. This programs is very simple and it's just what I was looking for.

Simple but good
FTP Surfer performs simple tasks admirably. Nothing fancy, and it doesn't look incredibly slick. But it gets the job done and it's easy to use.

Almost perfect, but..
I used this nice program for a while, but then i noticed that while uploading files to a remote virtual server, the upload does not seem to know the end of the file has been hit, goes past the byte limit, waits and waits, then starts over. If i watch closely, i can flip to the remote desktop and make a quick copy before the attempt is aborted and the remote file deleted. This makes this program useless for my needs, but it is soooo close to being excellent. cheers.

And the winner is...
FTP Whisper has what I need. Can edit files with my preferred program, search for files (by name or content) and all the basic stuff that a FTP program is supposed to do. I like most FileZilla's interface, with visible local directories. But still FTP Surfer is bound to be my FTP program.

Upload problems
A good overall FTP program, but I found it was corrupting my image files when uploading nested directories. I emailed them to see if they were aware of the problem and if there was a fix, but I just got an autoreply saying they couldn't help. Not sure if the problems sorted yet, in the mean time I switched to AceFTP which is a much better program, but does feed some advertising.

Excellent
I would have to say, this IS one of the best FTP clients I have used. You can have multiple servers open so you can work between them. Easy to configure and works great with my current network security without changing my firewall settings. Thumbs UP!!

As good as the rest and cheaper!
A brilliant little utility and absolutely free, no ads, no junk, just the business. After giving up on a complicated registration for WS_FTP v8.03 at nearly $70 I came looking for something else. I found this little jewel - and at a $70 discount. Now that can't be bad, can it?
