Weather or not
I didn't keep this on my desktop, why? A number of reasons, one, the radar is very old school now and there are many other better views of radar that this. Also, I don't like my resources being notched out by things like this, I'll keep my bookmark instead and go right to radarsite. I actually like Accuweather desktop over this but haven't used that in some time. Last time I used weather.com's desktop weather, it was as bad as running Norton. So that said, I think WP is better than that but still needs some work. I don't like the interface, the maps don't always stay either. Not to mention I had problems with it going back to Texas instead of my city. It worked after I rebooted the PC but still, I don't think it's THAT great. It's ok though.

Best in it's class
Works as advertised. There is a help menu, but not really needed. Simple, easy to set up and use. Clean install. Used on windows 95,98, ME and XP pro with no problems what ever. If you use banner blockers (blockers for Paltalk) you will encounter errors when it updates weather. Have tried other programs. Look no further. Blond GF loves it!

Almost perfect
It doesn't look as good as Weather Watcher but it makes up for it with the travelers map which WW doesn't have. Ironically both programs are buggy when it comes to font selection (weather pulse gets nutty when you scroll through fonts and the bold italics often gets selected and in weather watcher you can't set the font to full white). Though weather pulse is ugly and has that awful java menu or whatever it is, that travelers map makes a huge difference.

Tried many
I have used a fair amount of these weather programs and find this one to be really a joy to use and install.Previous software was at best memory hogs and usually unstable.I have even paid for subscriptions and the software was always so buggy.I have tried weather pulse and have decided to keep it,throwing out any other software I`ve used.and the price is really great,FREE.

Outstanding product!
I am a flight paramedic living and working on the Texas gulf coast. I am very hard on weather prg's for obvious reasons and have used Weather pulse for numerous yrs. Also I used this program heavily two yrs ago when were in the path of two projected hurricanes. I found that you could really rely upon this program and it does a good job at staying updated. You can't go wrong with this program, and oddly enough the damned thing is free (and very deserving a donation lol).

Professional program
A very good professionally made program for viewing the world weather. You can customize the settings for your locality via a pop up window on your desktop with the current weather conditions. Very nice! The program has an auto update feature for the latest weather conditions and software versions. The weather alert feature is also a nice touch and you can change the look of the program with skins. Recommended!

Good but buggy
I mostly have just good things to say about Weather Pulse, its a program that is better then it looks and more or less gets the job done. For free, its great, but even pricey weather software out there just has no way to compete without seem bulky or overly complex. Weather Pulse is none of these, but I give it only a good rating because of the current version which is buggy. At least in my experience, if you try to change your settings around in 2.05, your going to get an error messages that asks you what you've done. I haven't done anything, just tried to get weather pulse the way I want it! I'll stick with 2.04, thank you very much.

Overall a very good weather program....
Overall a very good weather program. However there does seem to be some instability in the program intermittently. Also the updates of the program take more download time then other programs, i.e. [..]. And last, the program is written in such a way that saving a setting change requires the option panel to close on save for each individual change set????

Great program
Weather Pulse is one of those rare examples of great programing that hasn't been UNDER or OVER done. The features and options provide the exact amount of weather information without a lot of extra fluff. (I'm reminded of the advertisements in Weather Bug) The programmers at Tropical Design have continued to update the program on a regular basis to keep it fresh and fully operational with Weather.com. I Strongly recommend this as a download.

Dump the rest for the best!
I've tried multiple weather programs, but most have adds or adware. Weather Pulse has none. Clean interface and easy to use.

One of the best weather programs
This is one of the best weather programs out there. Free, no ads, and no spyware. Works great and has a great amount of features. There are regular updates that include many bug fixes and new features. I highly recommend this if you want a free, full featured weather program.

Best in class. outstanding!
Better than Weatherbug and no ads to deal either. Only problem is finding the right font to show in taskbar. On my 1024x768 laptop screen I found Arial Narrow Bold 10 to be the best. Took a lot of time - so try this font first. Otherwise, pretty intuitive. I love the "hourly forecast" option, the multiple cities option, the 10 day forecast, and the weather alerts. It is not completely obvious, but the radar that you see is configurable and a little searching in the pull down menus is needed to find just the right one to default for each city. Great software! I had to configure the options to be satisfied (for one thing, its noisy initially) ... 1. General Tab, check all but "Delay 10 secs" and "Metric", 2. Sounds - disable (nothing checked), 3. Tray Icon - Only check "Transparent" & "Degree Symbol" 4. Tray Tooltip - your choices 5. Weather Alerts - Only "Show Tray Icon" chked, 6. I left the rest unchanged.

Very good programme
Very similier to weather watcher but slightly better. Nice interface and is not bundeled with Adaware or Spyware. I couldn't find an option on how to change Fahrenheit to degree, but isn't exactly a problem. The current condition seems to be very accurate even to the smaller towns. Overall, very pleasing and has an easy to use interface.

First class software
I have been involved in beta testing in many locations around the world (mostly Image Managing, and Hot Key Utilities) I am not a programmer but a "back seat driver" but I have been fortunate to learn to quickly see differences in good code engineering. Weather Pulse build 2.04.3 in my opinion has been very well thought out and the program excells in straight forward controls and a fine graphical interface. The author has a very fine support forum which is run professionally -- this utility really deserves your attention -- It's a "Keeper"

...and along comes a genuinely well-done app!
I have used this program for quite a while, and I can only remember one little bug, and I don't even remember what it was. The only minor glitch I have had lately is that I had a little trouble getting the desklet (an excellent idea, by the way) to stay where I wanted it, but I figured it out after about five minutes. Still a very minor issue, especially compared to how effective a program this is. Of all the free and paid (why?) weather monitors, I have enjoyed this one the most. I have found it bug-free, stable and that it provides very useful information. Easy recommendation!

Poor support, possible security risk.
Support is terrible, security is questionable. Had problem with Zonealarm reporting that WeatherPulse wanted to "act as a server." Posted several times about the problem. Each time the post got deleted and my question remained unanswered. The developer NEVER addressed the problem, a recurring theme in the support forum. Does that sound like software you trust? Releases of this program always have bugs, requests go unanswered, problems unsolved. Free, but at what price? Look elsewhere.

Response by software author
Sometimes people can be difficult to deal with, we made EVERY effort to help this person out but we were not successful. His behavior, eventually led to his being banned from our support forums and so he has chosen to take out his frustrations on Weather Pulse. Weather Pulse has NO security problems and comes highly recommended on many securities related web sites on the Internet. Weather Pulse has NO Spyware, Adware or anything that would do harm to your computer. We try to give the best support possible for our products; there are enough positive reviews for Weather Pulse here and all over the Internet that anyone can make an educated decision and see whats happening here.

Better then "desktop weather"
I used to use "Desktop Weather" from weather.com. But for this one, it is so much more, and so much easier. I especially like the "desklet" from the latest version.

Excellent!
I live in Florida (Hurricane Alley) and have been searching for a comprehensive program to monitor the tropics. This program is much better than any of the programs that charge for their software. It is easy to use, has extensive information (radar, satellite images, etc.) and I just love the weather alert alarm. I did notice that it is geared more towards the W US on some features, however, I would highly recommend this product to everyone, anywhere in the US.

This is without a doubt the best weather monitoring program available. I wouldn't even think of recommending any other program of it's kind.
