Serves its purpose
This is a specialized utility for comparing the contents two folders and optionally synchronizing them. No bells and whistles, but if you need a utility exactly for this purpose, then this is the one to get. One useful feature in ViceVersa Free, lacking in some more feature-laden utilities, is the ability to align the contents of the selected folders correctly side by side. The display method of the comparison results is excellent. Easy to understand. The downside is that if you wish to change folders the navigation is rather crude.

Excellent....highly recommended
Fantastic program for finding differences in files and folders....this program WILL navigate all levels of subfolders. The filtering is excellent and makes very quick work out of a labourious task of finding differences.

Not recursive
The software will only compare the first level of 2 directories, not all the sub-directories and their contents.
