Our work place (and others I know of) sacked people based on unencrypted LAN chat services. This was easy to install and setup. I now talk in total privacy. Of course you need administrator rights (or similar) to be allow to install it in the first place. If you machine is "locked down" by your workplace policies then your stuck.

I have used other small chat software for my home LAN, while OK, they weren't anywhere near Trilogy. Encryption of chat, file transfer, etc... it's simply awesome, I don't know how else to put it. My son and I chat on it, it's easy to set up, looks great, nothing bad to say about it except that when you lock it, I wish it would minimize to system tray, not stay on the desktop. But truly, I`m not complaining, it's great and exceeds the FREE type personal chats out there 10 to 1.

No problems with it. Works just fine, especially for big file transfers. No adds, no popups, no expiration date, no "please buy me" nag screens. Pretty good support at the website.
