I have been using TreePad Lite for a couple of years now and I find it to be very, very handy. It's small, fast, and can used in a portable scenario (like run directly from USB drive). It's not overly powerful, it lacks virtually any advanced features, such as encryption, rich text, etc. It supports hyperlinks in its own limited way. Overall, it's still a great little app that I will likely continue to use. However, I am disturbed by another review that cited poor customer service from the TreePad developers. For this reason I would avoid giving them my money. I'll stick with TreePad Lite. It's a good and free way to organize nearly any kind of information in a hierarchical fashion. And last time I checked they also offered a free utility that will compile your TreePad files into EXEs.

I upgraded to TreePad Safe at a reasonable cost, but a couple of months later they offered a new version number and wanted to charge me again for the new upgrade. I protested and one of their reps sent me a very rude and arrogant response. (How dare I question them for wanting more money.) I'm now using MyNotesCenter, also a premium tree-notes app, and upgrades are free forever. It's reasonably priced and even includes encryption without extra charge, unlike TreePad Safe.

I have been using treepad lite for several years now. It is a great program. Totally expandable and so easy to use. Among other things, I use it for a cookbook. My MIL uses it for genealogy.. I am glad to have an opportunity to leave a recommendation to this very neat and tidy program.

This is one of the few freeware gems that I always have and use. I carry it on my USB drive to open up and save all kinds of notes, personal info, passwords. With it's hierarchical tree structure it manages to organize even the most unwieldy data.. Highly recommended.

Simlarly to the comment by "Golata", I too have downloaded and deleted this program over the years, only to end up with it again. This program is so practical, you can list your notes similarly to your file folder arrangements. You can nest folder within a folder for better organization. It lets you put in text files and hyperlinks. It doesn't let you put pictures, as the paid version does, but hey, this is a great note keeper. Thanks to the developer, we have yet another FREE gift instead of having to spend $19.95 and its a very good program. I highly recommend it!!!

Anything you use for awhile, delete, regret it, download again and keep, deserves a pat on the back. Pretty darn good program.
