This thing really works. I never miss anything important. Outlook reminders do not jump out enough. For important meetings I need this. I am a power user, and a mensa member, and I say this is the best.

The very distinguished feature of this tool from other alarm tools is it can wake up computer from standby status. This feature is very powerful to be combined with other automation tools. It is the only tool with standby wakeup function in this site and I only found another one in internet.

It's a good program for the purpose for which it's intended, but it's a headache to manage. It will run on your system whether you have an alarm set or not. Even if you disable all alarms and don't have it load at startup, it will still display them because of the background service that it uses, which can be disabled, but all this for an alarm clock. Very annoying. I would prefer a program to only run when I specify. When I turn it off, it shouldn't load any programs into memory nor display any alarms, period. In other words, if there's no alarms that need to be displayed, it shouldn't be loaded and using the valuable resource of memory. OVERALL: Good for the basic user, but the power-user will want to look for something else.

The most important attribute of an alarm clock is reliability. The portions of the program that always run do so for one single reason - to ensure that you never ever miss a reminder. Surely reliability is worth a very small amount of memory. The monitoring service need not be disabled, it s an optional feature that can be omitted from the installation.

A very good program that can help me when i'm sleeping cause when it's time, "Talking Alarm Clock" will wake me up but i rather prefer a program call "daily alarm clock" that i downloads from "The Screen Saver" by sarah.

This software uses standard window classes, and this makes it very accessible for screen reader use. It also has an optional spoken announcement of the alarm text, using Microsoft Agent. For visually-impaired folk, it's much easier to use than the sticky-note variety. I highly recommend it.
