Stones WebWriter is without a doubt the best free HTML-editor out there. Why? Well, let me put it this way: How many editors do you know off that a)does NOT fill your page with loads of un-needed code, and b)is so easy to use that even your 65 year old dad can write a page, even though he has no knowledge of web-programming? So, if your are looking for an easy-to-use HTML-editor, with a very good price/performance-ratio (it is free!), then this is the program to go for.

This program really is one of the best out there at any price. This program has a built-in FTP which works excellently. In the free program the uploads are one file at a time--batch downloading only available for the paid registration. If you register this program you can get a hard copy and a download for under $50. I rely on this program quite a bit for my website upkeep. It is hard to think of another program that compares to Stones WebWriter.
