In addition to the spam filtering that's active with my e-mail host provider, I use Spampal to help scrub my e-mail a little bit more before it reaches my Outlook inbox. It's very easy to install, stable and configurable. It's never crashed or locked up in the years that I've been using it. It does slow down the rate that message arrive to your inbox, though. If you need to open your Outlook and accept incoming messages quickly, then Spampal is not for you. But if you "graze" and leave your Outlook open throughout the day to accept incoming messages, Spampal doesn't get in the way at all. Outlook Express works just fine with Spampal as well.

SpamPal works just fine and has interesting features such ability to block eMails by country of origin, however for use with MS Outlook and Outlook Express I switched to K9 which I found faster and more effective. However I have now switched to using Mozilla Thunderbird as an email client which has its own built-in Spam filter.

That free program is THE e-mail spam program! It's very easy to configure and does exactly what I am expecting from it - sort out spam from my good e-mails. I am using it now a couple days and so far no mistake made by the program.

Then spampal is for you. I'm sure it works fine with outlook, but for that I have disruptor. SpamPal is an excellent choice for Mozilla Thunderbird or any other IMAP/POP3 mail clients. Now with a freeware tool to autoconfigure your settings there's no reason not to try it. Free comes at the price of using a loop back filter and some manual settings changes for most email clients, but comes with a rich set of free plugins too!

Ok, the best part is that it sits there and you don't have to do anything. Because it filters your SPAM based on blacklisted mail servers published on the internet. It tags your mails (in header and/or subject,...) so you can create some wizard rules to move that spam to a specific folder. This program is really great and underestimated by the guys from snapfiles. Give it 5 stars please. The latest beta can be installed as a service. I use it on servers!!

This is really the best anti-spam app. ever!! I have tried many others (Norton AntiSpam, K9, MailWasher etc.) and this is the only which really work and don't mark my own mails as spam! And easy to disable/enable, unlike others. Maybe a little difficult to install and setup for newbies, but its VERY VERY GOOD!!
