Unique backup freeware
I've tried other freeware that claim to have CD-R/RW backup capabilities but in fact require Nero or Roxio as an adjunct program or are extremely complicated in execution. SimplySafe is very easy to use and has integrated burning software. If you're a home user with modest backup file requirements like me, you can't go wrong with this free program. Excellent PDF Help File as well.

The professional edition does what it says...
The professional is plenty for my workstations and the basic web and SQL servers my company employs. The backup inventory features make it pretty simple for me to find files that users accidentally delete and restore without having to have all the discs available. I send one of the web servers to another server via FTP and the encryption helps me feel safer about my decision to backup that way.

Data recovery
I recently used simplysafebackup and was not able to recover my data for two reasons complicated features and a persistent bug.

Stay with the free version!
When I purchased the $20 personal version, the unlock code sent by Cannon Tech did not work and the program will not run until properly unlocked. They never responded to my emails for a valid unlock code. In fact no one at Cannon Tech answered any of my emails. Share-it finally had mercy on me and credited my card for the purchase price.
