I needed it but didn`t know it
It's like having a legal pad built into your computer because it has that use-it-in-an-instant spontaneity. Shirusu pad saves you the clutter of post it notes, doesn't hog your computer's resources, and comes in mighty handy.

Last stop on the desktop notes train
After using ShirusuPad, I stopped looking for another desktop notes utility. Why? Because it's only using 0.7 MB of WinXP memory! Small memory footprint? Try microscopic. Heck, Realplayer and Winamp system tray icons use more memory than that, and the players aren't even running! Everything else I tried used 1 - 15 MB. Shirusupad sports unlimited notes, tabbed notes window, alarm reminders, to do lists, alphablending (transparent windows), color schemes, hot zones, clickable links, automatic clipboard capture, no registry entries, delete directory to uninstall, blah blah blah. My only complaint is that interface customization is not so easy. There is a settings dialog with several tabs for the main features, but you need to edit the .ini file to set specific colors and change fonts (which you will want to do since the defaults are quite small). Shirusupad is one of my top 5 productivity tools.

Look no further
This tiny app gathers all will ever need.. integrates all services (notes,to-do,reminders) in a clean interface and just a click away, not annoying windows everywhere, and yet fully functional.

Very good
Capable of dividing notes into categories, quick, and customizable. I like it!

A snowball rolling downhill - you need this
Shirusupad is the best (free) scratchpad that I have found; it saves time and effort capturing text and links altho it does not seem to capture images yet; an excellent feature is that you can choose to place a small always-on-top (even opaque on top of EVERYTHING) control button that allows you to access it with little effort and you can also do same with actual text files, making them easily accessible (like onscreen postits, such as ATnotes); I have almost NO payware, but I would pay money for this; the only reasoning for my praise is that I want to see this catch on and be popular so that it is developed to add features (such as capturing images...) - try it, it should save you time for taking and accessing notes and links...kind of a mini-pim organizer that is easy to use...

Nice program to have in every pc
ShirusuPad has replaced the reminder program I was using for sometime for its desktop pop up remainders and will replace my notes program if the developer includes a font selection (or a little big font) for adding notes in final version. Highly recommended.

Great for keeping notes....
This is a very nice program I use for some time now. Great interface and easy on resources. The floating notes are nice to work with. Just drag a tab to the desktop and done. Also the task notes in the latest release works great. Thing like the Clipboard Capture are very useful and the interface is very flexible: Alphablending, shadows, colours etc. it's all adjustable. A keeper for me....
