Wow
Once you get used to the view, it's easy to navigate and understand what everything's about. I haven't used it much in the last few weeks , but when I do, it's great to have. The way the usagespace, etc... is mapped is very cool.

Fantastic!
This utility works wonders for visualizing 'file noise' on my hard-drive. I absolutely love it!

Good, but there's better...
This is the original visually-intuitive hard drive-mapping software. I've used this for years and have been very happy with it. I've noticed after a while that it's installed, however, that this program will sometimes take much longer to finish gathering results, usually appearing to have frozen or locked-up. I've since used WinDirStat (also available here at SnapFiles). WinDirStat is largely inspired by SequoiaView and has improved on the interface and function. Whichever program works for you will get the job done nicely either way.

See it all at a glance!
As some who regularly has to free up space on networked drives I find this tool invaluable for finding who or what is using up all the disk space. The interface is so impressive visually that even passers-by often comment with an "ooh.. whats that?"

Unique way of looking at your hdd
My feeling is that this is the kind of tool that some will find very useful and others will find totally useless. Still, it does very well what it's meant to do--that is, give a visual representation of ALL the files on your drive(s), in rectangular areas proportional to each file's size. The end result is pretty cool-looking, kind of like a piece of modern art. It makes it very easy to visualize which files (and/or folders) take up the most (or least) space. My only minor gripe with it is that it doesn't save the window size/state when you exit.

Totally original!
It is not very often you see a totally original piece of software - but this is it. This program will visually scan your entire hard disk and provide an "at-a-glance" view of your hard disk. I was running into problems with disk space but could not work out where the culprits were. Within 10 minutes of installing this problem I has discovered and removed the offending files and my disk was back to normal. You will probably not use this program alot - but for me once was enough!

Visually compare disk wasters
Interesting and useful implementation of "Cushion Treemaps" to visually compare disk usage by Folder (directory) and file type. The picture tells the story. Other great features are different file type color schemes and folder depth limiting to get overview info quickly. The best program for this function I have found.

Elegant functionality.
I use this program (exclusively) to diagnose where I'm losing space amidst 300Gb of chaos. The program hasn't been updated in a loooong time- I think the original programmers were students who have moved on with their life....but it has worked well for me with '98 and all flavors of XP.

Find those pesky disk hogs!
The interface was a little odd at first, but overall this is a very handy program! Sequoia itself takes up barely any space.
