Installs quick and smoothly without being heavy and trying to install toolbars. It's lightweight and does monitor in a very efficient way the in and outgoing traffic. If you like to know and control what's going on with your lan-connection this is what you need. A special "plus" for the "initiated by the user" filter. The user interface is i.m.h.o. as good as it can be: it's just about monitoring ins- and outs. That's all. No fancy tweaking and advanced preferences, bells and whistles needed. Maybe the first hour(s) of use it needs a bit interaction in order to allow or deny application(s) or to edit a personal rule, but afterwards you enter the "set it and forget it" stage. Very nice indeed.

This is an Application Firewall! While it can guard between internet port application activity that is not its major function. This guards between the internal application and the OS at the application level. (Read,Write,Modify)With rules user defined. This combined with a internet port type firewall makes a very tight security system. Guarding from both external and internal modification of your system.

I started using this firewall yesterday. I am not crazy about the novice interface but I like editing the rules in advanced mode. It is an excellent firewall.

SensiveGuard (SG) is a very competent firewall, especially for outbound, application-level protection. But SG is MUCH more than a mere firewall because it has some quite powerful HIPS-type capabilities. For example, SG can distinguish between user initiated application actions, as contrasted with those actions initiated by another application. Thus you can tell SG "allow this application to take this specific action ONLY if I'm the one who initiates it." That capability is very powerful. SG gives you the same powerful control over access to the files on your computer. For example, you can set SG to disallow creation, modification, or deletion of specific file-types except on your say-so. Setting up SG is easy. Default settings are adequate for most needs, and are easily adjusted. Also there are advanced settings which enable fine-tuning SG's capabilities to an extent that equals or surpasses any firewall I have ever used. I highly recommend this FW

I almost didn't download this ... just seeing the interface, turned me right off. However, I was 'inbetween' firewalls, since Kerio had sold out, or started selling it under the name Sunbelt. Although I didn't mind purchasing it, it wasn't the same as before. So I gave SensiveGuard a try, and have been using it for a while. I find it gives adequate protection, once you have your settings in place. I haven't found any problems with it, but if they don't do something about the awful looking interface ... it doesn't stand a chance. It is FREE though, and works well.

Features sounds promising. But bad interface and nagging pop-ups to confirm outbound access, totally reduces the user experience. Look for some other firewall..

Unfortunately after testing on various test sites, i.e. Shields-up, etc., it failed all the stealth tests.
