....because obviously we need their help in running SETI@home correctly. I ran this before and it hasn't changed, you begin as stated, with strange errors, perhaps ET in origin since Seti have no idea nor as stated, are too willing to help. My search for life was that of SETI help in solving connection issues. I found no such life there either. I always give things a chance and maybe in the future this will actually run correctly and we can enjoy helping out. Begs the question, if they can't run this right, who is behind the technology to search for other life? Seriously, one must wonder, is this a contributing factor to NOT finding other life perhaps? My son is still running his, so we'll see for how long. I took mine off finally. ...**Kirk out***

I used this program a for a couple of months and enjoyed watching my stats and productivity increase. The competition with other users who started using when I did was also fun. Then came the down time and SETI server problems, difficulty getting data to work on, and bizarre error codes. The bulletin boards are your only hope to get back up and running and the SETI folks will happily let the millions of users work out their own problems. In short what was fun initially became a frustrating experience. I even installed the newer version BOINC. I really became exasperated with that glitch-riddled project. The bulletin board is loaded with hundreds of problems, issues and complaints. After communicating with other users with the same error codes and connection problems as I was having, It became clear to me that It was time to move on. If you get into this one I wish you the best of luck and a lot of time.
