Search is over for goback replacement?
I just started to test this evaluation of Rollback Rx because Roxio's GoBack, which I have used for many years, is incompatible with my new Dell and gave me the dreaded BSoD. It seems simple enough to use, and the features are robust, even for home users. If the developers can get their web site back up, I just might purchase a licensed copy. Price/Value received a Fair mark from me. Although the price isn't outrageous, it's a little steep, IMO.

Like magic!
I use the new version 8.1 for my PC. Compared with GoBack, the most advantageous feature of Rollback is that I can take a snapshot anytime I like within a second. I do not have to wait for a restart unlike Goback. And the time for recovery is much shorter than Goback. Really magic. The con side is that it is expensive, more than $80, and ver. 8.1 requires a very cumbersome authorization process.

This will save your bacon many times over
I went to a repair shop to get bigger memory sticks yesterday and the technician ended up uninstalling programs and installing others to free up resources instead to save me money. I wasn't angry though because I knew that Rollback RX could restore my system to the way I had it within seconds at bootup. This software if much faster than GoBack. And at the time of this posting, the latest version of Rollback RX is compatible with Vista unlike GoBack. The latest version of Rollback RX has an extra layer of protection that can create an image backup and can be restored by using a BartPE restore disk should a snapshot fail because of a hardrive crash or something. The Rollback RX website also reports that the development team is working on a version due for the third quarter of 2007 that can suspend itself without having to be uninstalled first in order to defrag the hardrive which is a major issue for some right at the moment.

No computer should be without it!!
I was amazed at the ease and speed of restoring my computer after a serious crash. I had been using GoBack for many years with only partial success. GoBack took forever to restore and the support for the software was non-existent. The support team for Rollback is without peer...Thank you, Lyle. If purchasing only one piece of software - RollBack should be it!

Excellent potential; only supports 1 drive
Superior snapshot technology; needs to support multiple hard drives for highest ratings.
