This is great software. But be aware that when you buy you are signing up for annual subscription that will automatically be charged to your credit card. Personally, I detest subscription services.

I was able to solve some problems concerning Windows using Registry Mechanic. So I can put a "thumb up" mark only to its developers. Its simple interface guarantees that almost any problem can be solved using this software. So I can highly recommend you this problem because it will make your life easier for sure.

When I renewed my Spyware Doctor, I was offered a package deal. Having used and having many freeware scanners, I canceled and spent the next several hours evaluating the latest. Registry Mechanic excelled at finding problems. As I mentioned in my Spyware Doctor review, it really depends on what you're looking for, but I don't like PCTools simplistic interfaces. They don't let me get at stuff, save things, tweak, etc. (I'm considering jv16 Powertools for that, but it feels so MFCish ... but unlike PCTools, they provide family licensing) Anyway, this tool does a great job with (unfortunately) little to no effort on my part.
