Practicality is something that is lacking with windows. this is not a perfect solution to the "places bar" problem, but it puts a dent in it and i like it better than Tweak UI.

Why Microsoft does not include this feature in windows is beyond me.. saves me 4 or 5 clicks and I like that!! Thumbs Up....

Ok but basic.

This is OK and has no problems but the freeware Tweak UI also does this and has a wider range of features. [..] is a similar piece of freeware with more of a graphical interface.

This program is a good idea, but it doesn't change the places bar in Office 2003 applications. So if you modify your Places Bar you end up with the default places in Word, Excel, and Access and custom places in Firefox, Notepad, and other apps.
