I am a semi-pro photographer and I handle big TIFF and RAW files on a daily basis and all my drives - internal and external - must be always in top notch condition in order I am able to be fast in what I am doing as I move those files from drive to drive regularly.I came from OO defrag V8 and I am now with V10 and it gets better and better all the time. I ended up with the auto setting for all the drives - at beginning I always chose on demand defrag with different defrag methods - but the auto mode it's really a peace of mind, as it is reliable and effective. Never had a single problem with the software and I strongly recommend it to others. And I do not think it is expensive, as quality must always be paid. I've tried others prior to buy OO V8 two years ago - shareware and freeware - but OO it's a clear winner. Great defrag tool.

Installation is a snap. Help is good. Interface is good. Use is easy. But I never could finish a single full defrag (in COMPLETE/Name mode on a C: disk with 108 000 files) without a crash of OandO Defrag Pro. COuld never complete a single defrag in that mode (didn't test the other modes). Uninstall was a snap :-)

Great program...defragged my system way over my expectations. have tried various programs out in the market but this i would rate#1. Had no problems installing and running the program. it defragged the system fairly quick in under 30 minutes and no comparison to windows default program. after running O&O, i checked the windows version and analyzed it, i found that it had done its job!!!..other than the price being a little stiff, its worthing having

I tried both O & O Defrag and Diskeeper 8 Pro. O & O Defrag had a better interface and was a better product in my opinion. I used both programs on my recently built P4 3.0gz system with a SATA 320GB raid-0 array for my C: drive and a 250GB IDE backup drive. I'd never defragmented either drive since building the machine. My C: drive was 47% fragemented and my D: drive was 99% fragmented. The Windows deframenter didn't work and Diskeeper Pro attempted to defrag both drives with no improvement. I even tried boot mode defrag and all other options in Diskeeper Pro. none worked. O & O worked perfectly on the first try. The Stealth mode is a great addition to the normal defrag options since it works in the background. I'd highly recommend O & O Defrag though I think it's much too expensive for a single purpose tool that should have come with the operating system. It's still a must have if you want to keep your system healthy.

Remember when Windows' built-in defragmenter gave you such options as optimizing free space and organizing files based on access frequency? Well, it's back with this nice program. Just about anything beats the current Windows defragmenter, but this one even beats those, by providing options that actually let you optimize your drive(s) according to how you work. Easy to configure and the scheduler is nice in that it lets you schedule a session for multiple drives at once. It also pretty much eliminates the restarting whenever drive contents change, and has a built-in error check that actually runs, AND fixes errors before optimizing, making it a truly hands-off tool. Much like another popular tool, it also has the capability to run in the background. A little too costly, but a great tool nonetheless.
