Excellent with extra programming...
You can definitely use this for basic programming, if you are too lazy to start everything from scratch. Once you've made it, you can use a more serious WYSIWYG editor (like Dreamweaver) or other HTML editor. Perfect.

Perfect for me!
My thanks to the 2 people who designed this program, and their company in New Zealand. I would never have the time , patience or expertise to do it in HTML. I looked at Frontpage and went ???? I designed my small business website, 3 pages, with photos, page links, website links, and an email address linked to my domain name. Besides being easy, it was fun. And if you ever want to change anything, as in your business address or phone number on the web, just do the alterations in the original file which is still on your computer, then publish it again, and it overwrites your website; TOO EASY. First class web design tool
This is a great web design tool; not so much because of the features it includes, but because of those it leaves out; having defined a theme for your site, it's impossible to diverge from it. Too much functionality in other WYSIWYG web editors is what allows inexperienced users to make awful sites that are a mess of different colours, fonts and layouts; with Namu6, this just isn't possible because the chosen theme is enforced throughout. The upshot is that you would have to try really hard to turn out anything except a clean-looking, highly-readable website. Bravo.

Superb tool for busy people
Absolutely superb tool for people like me who are busy and don't have the time to get to grips with the expensive commercial products. Its easy to learn it's fast, stable and produces great looking sites. I have tried many products and gave up after taking ages trying to get the results i wanted. With this product it took me longer finding my log on details to upload the first version of my web-site. I have paid money for product that are nowhere near as good as this! I wholeheartedly recommend this product

Great website designer for newbies...
Ditto what everyone has said here. Technically, this isn't an HTML editor, rather a basic website creator. It's stable, allows you change the design and export to HTML so you FTP it to your website. Thee gripes have already been mentioned, but since the software is free, I'm not complaining! -JG

Like the simplicity
The name does not do this software justice. I tried several different programs before finding this one. None worked as well for building a fast and easy web page like this program does. I like the simplicity of the software. Once the web site was built, I exported it and then did some fancier editing in Frontpage. I would recommend it to anyone that wants a quick web site without a steep learning curve.

Good for easy website building
Good for fast website building I was looking for some simple, easy to use and fast editor. Text editors may do a lot of job, frontpage may capable of what else, but Namu finally was for me the a suitable choice. Well some features are not supported, but a company even a small company site was for me a ease to build.

2simple
This is an OK program, could do w/o its header. does have a nice feature for placing pictures onto web page and resizing it to fit. For a Free program its worth the download. My only real gripe is it only saves in namu6 guess due to its upload capabilities, to get to the IExplorer file you need to go deep into the saved folder of site you made and Vwalla there it is. My kids like it, an easy tool for youth to learn the basics in website Format.

So easy
What a cool program-granted it makes simple sites but what other free program will make a nice site in 10 minutes or so? Some of the shareware programs wont do what this one can-No nags or even a "Created With" link, Awesome as far as I am concerned!!Installs nice and does not crash...
