This works great! Nifty! Only problem I've found at this point is that it doesn't seem to like meta characters for directory names. I tried using the asterisk * meta character to identify directories ending in "data" (*data), but this didn't work, with the Mirror program returning "Error: source directory could not be found!". Oh well... this has great features and works great as far as I can tell!

I've been looking for a quick, simple and cheap (i.e. Free) tool to backup the contents of one drive to another and to keep that "backup" looking like the original and "Mirror" is it. If I update or delete files on my "live" drive I want those same files updated on deleted on the "backup" drive. Mirror is a command line utility. If you're comfortable using DOS or UNIX then you'll have no problems at all. If you need a mouse to control a computer this is NOT a tool for you. Interface: at the command prompt type mirror source dir/path target dir/path. Features: FAST! Ease of Use: A one line back file handles all my "backup" needs. Price/Value: Its Free. I wrote a little batch file that runs at start up to copy or delete any changed files from my "live" system to my backup drive.
