It is fine and it does the job until you find out that it can't rename the files it downloads. So if it happens that you have, let's say a "001" picture (nothing too difficult) and you are downloading another picture named 001 it automatically sends your former 001 picture to the Recycle Bin. That is a most unwelcome task. [..] is fine. Far more reasonable. But the best is the Firefox add on "Download them all", but then again, even this doesn't always download the entire picture. Take this from a heavy image downloader!

In the new version 1.4 the files with the existing file name are not deleted anymore. If a file with the same name already exists, then the new image will be renamed.

I have been using the Mihov picture downloader for a long time and consider it a "must have" for those who download a lot of images. It's easy, works fast, is rock solid and is fairly small. Incredible combination for FREE software! Even seems to grab images from sites other downloaders won't get. Mihov stands out above all the many other downloaders I've tried. I have two minor wishes: 1. That it would automatically rename (not overwrite) files that have same names. 2. It would be great if you could create "save to" directories from the interface. I'm really splitting hairs here, this software is excellent -- try it, it's definitely a keeper. Hope the developer will continue with new versions!

This program is simple to use and does the job right. i hope further development upgrades by the author happens. it is a indispensable tool if you are downloading a number of images at once. two-thumbs up!!!

I have downloaded quite a few Shareware files after I downloaded this program a few weeks ago. All the Shareware files of this type that I downloaded did not do anywhere close to what this program does for free. Some of the shareware files didn't even work at all. The others were lacking on features that this program has ! This is One of the Best if not the Best program I have used ! Get it, it is well worth the time and trouble to download. A lot better than 99% of the Shareware files of this type. Flash32

This program is very easy to use and has a lot of great options. I would be willing to pay a lot for this and I will be sure to make a donation to this project.

Does it's job decently well. Allows you to download whole galleries where the actual pictures links are on the page...it won't find links to html files that have the photos embedded in them. It is also a bit slow on the download...as it downloads each picture one at a time, but it does get the done in decent amount of time (Faster than I could download them all manually). Overall I find that it does it's job well considering it's freeware.

In the new version 1.4 there is also an option to download images, embedded in HTML. The feature is still in early development phase and might not work on all the sites, but it has worked on the ones that I have tried (and they use standard HTML). To switch between downloading linked files and embedded files check the check box bellow the URL address bar on the Download Zone tab.
