Very good program
It's really the best in the market for free. I like the autosave feature, so I just press a button and it is all done. Very good!

Excellent tool !
Very easy to use and very convenient to have at your disposal. I use it all the time to save account information, etcetera, when registering anything online. A great reference tool.

Limited hotkey options
This program was perfect for me except for ONE drawback -- The selection of hotkeys was too limiting. I wanted to assign the auto-save to *PrtScn*, not to a combination of *Shift*, *Ctrl*, or *Alt* and function keys. (Because in gaming, ALL of the best keys are already mapped) ... So I switched to FastStone Capture and am happy.

Another handy program
I've installed this on all computers owned by family and friends. Then when they try to tell me about a problem they are having I can say take a screenshot and most of them can manage it with MWSnap. Great program.

Preferred screen capturer
Does all that I need, the magnifier is very useful. I use Gadwin Printscreen, too, which is also very good. both run at my startup. setting size of capture before capturing is very useful, and doing small editing (rotating, scaling) without the need of an image editor is great :) it even remembers last few captures (undo)

It's a snap!
I have used MWSnap for some months now and have found that the longer I use it, the more I use it. Hardly a week passes before a new use is found. For the millions now researching their Family History, this small programme provides a rapid means of recording information found on genealogical websites and is absolutely invaluable. Also great for those interested in maps. Easy to instal and use, it really is a great little programme! It would be difficult to give it anything else than an excellent rating and I have already recommended it to many of my friends and contacts.

Great product - and it's free
I have been deciding between MWSnap and SnagIt... Bottom line: unless you use dual monitors, MWSnap is hard to beat.

Nice program, does what it's supposed to
Handy little program. I do wish it was able to capture the full contents of an open window, and had more editing features available/different capture options. But it's quick, easy and does a nice job as is.

Mwsnap
Small, powerful program that is easy to use. Have been using it for several years. Periodically, I check other programs but have not found any that beat it.

Great shareware
Works well. It doesn't seem to capture second monitor, but I just transfer it to primary monitor and capture it there.

Almost perfect
I do a lot of tutorials that require screen shots. There is only one other program I know of that works for me a little better than this one does. That is "UltraSnap" by Mediachance. It has all the same functions accept you can set US to automatically put a drop shadow under the screen shot, which make them look professional without extra editing. US also allows you to drag from the screen and drop on the desktop to automatically create a jpg file. But US does not have the "add cursor" feature that MWSnap does. Also, US is not free :-( I agree with Snapfiles that this is probably the best Screen shot tool available in the free category.

Best graphics snap tool
I tried many snap tools, but keep going back to MWsnap. It's simple to use, small, and effective. A classic that should be on every PC.

Mwsnap helps me out
I write courses on different subjects. We all know that visual information is very important. It helps explaining how to use programs etc. MWsnap3 does the job. No more no less.

Commercial quality - free
I've been using this truly excellent program for a considerable time on Windows 98SE & ME, have recommended it to many people & will to many more. Does exactly what is claimed, very efficiently. The only thing I could ask of it beyond it's current capability is some way of adding a text-box/notation window with a pointer, but HEY, IT'S FREE so I'm not complaining! (Any chance of a Linux version I wonder? ;-))

Great interface, but very unstable...
The interface looks great and very easy to use, but when I run a screen capture, mem usage just shoots up and will crash my system.

Excellent
Does everthing you could want from a screen capture tool. I especilly like the fact that you can save in different file formats (jpeg, bitmaps, gif, png, tiff)as well as color depth per pixel.

This program is amazing - total greatness
This tool was created by an absolute genius. In some situations it will not capture the cursor, that's only because it is impossible, but after capture on the preview pane I can add one of 20 cursors or other handy objects like hands or not signs, etc, and I can add as many as I want to the picture. There is a bonus feature. It's integrated but not part of the screen capturing. This program provides a color picker that you can use on any window to find out what the RGB Hex color is. Handy for the web. Also a pixel ruler, that you can use on any window to measure. The size of any object horizontally or vertically. I tried Hover snap and MWsnap - only this one is good enough to capture the active window and put a cursor in it. The two web tools are a major bonuses to me. I needed them many times. The ruler is a totally new concept. Absolute Genius, they really know what a person needs for screen capture, and they covered bases that noone but them even knew existed.

Does everything competition does - for free
This one is easily the best free screen capture tool I've come across. Clear, configurable interface, many features and very easy to use. In my opinion it is even better than all the paid software on the market - does everything other programs do (plus more - for example it has a built-in color picker and a ruler tool among others) and it's completely free. Great software I can recommend wholeheartedly.

A must have.....
This is simply the best out there, I have been using this for more than a year and it has become an everyday tool. The only thing missing is scroll snaps, maybe in the next version. The View option is a real convenience. Get it!
