This version is far more superior to the previous beta version released by MS, and the MSN Deskbar has been downsized as not to take up too much taskbar space (you can turn it off altogether). Yes, not only does it automatically index MS Outlook email messages but ALSO indexes email message attachments. This truly is a set-it-and-forget-it utility as it builds all indexes and maintains them automatically. You can customize the settings to index what you will, or accept the default settings if you aren't into customizing. If you have used dtSearch before, this free search tool beats that too, especially when it comes to maintaining indexes, which must be manually done in dtSearch, while MSN Search it fully automatic keeping itself up to date with every MS Windows session.
