If your someone who doesnt queue up a bunch of files to download then this is the perfect download manager. If however you wish for downloading multiple files go with either orbit downloader or DAP. I dont recommend fdm because all the features are average at best, it is not best at anything on its own.

This is very good download manager that has more than enough features (most of which you will probably never use) and the downloads are generally fast. Nice interface. The freeware version will only allow you to download one file at a time which is why I currently use Free download Manager. Nevertheless this is a fine program. Maybe Leechget 2006 soon ?

I bought the premium version of this program and it worked ok for a couple of days, but now downloads either don't start or end up corrupt. Tried on various sites and installed on a different computer still the same. Sent a support request to the author (support is supposed to be included in the price) and he has not had the decency to even reply to me. Very poor and as it doesn't work, very poor value for money.

I am using Leechget 2005 not the 2004. Works fine, very good and Clear interface, good Features. Little problem with big Files like Knoopix DVD Download, all other works fine with high speed. Excellent Product. Small in Memory.

I have tryed six or seven of the top rated downloaders and this is the best of them all. I have had very little trouble with any downloads and it is very quick.

This is an excellent downloader! The setup was a little confusing at first, but definitely worth the time to tweak it. It has a nice graphical display of the downloads. You can even set the transparency of the download windows. You don't have to have it running for it to catch the clicks. I paid for getright downloader but this is my exclusive downloader now! All I can say is don't pass this little gem up. Hope this review helps.

This accelerator did not work for me at all for 3 days I had 6 downloads waiting with nothing even started. Maybe some input might help me figure this out. Download accelerator works great but it is Spyware which I don't want and downloaded this Leechget and nothing worked.

Tried almost all the others, this latest version 2004 1.1 is my choice now: combines more features than other freebies. Simple to install/configure/use, integrates with Explorer (others with plugins). Handles FTP properly, even with proxies. Also includes a parser which lets you get ALL the downloads, images, mpegs (etc) you want from a web page in one go. Very smart, the free version limit (8 simultaneous downloads) is no problem for me. And no spyware/adware!

Con: The download GUI is big, and oldschool; then the systray icons. Ack! I never could get it to run more than 3 downloads. Did not sense a new mirror in the download when one flaked out. I thought it would resume by name, not mirror queue Pro: Allows four different ways to download files with the same extensions. Very nice. GUI area of download status rocked. The rest of the window sucked. Copy to clipboard feature allows to automize one part of downloading in hidden file locations

This is one of the better download managers out there. What I really like about it is, unlike most download managers, this one also integrates easily with FireFox (use the additional plugin tool that is a separate download). Its easy to use, just click on the file you want to download and tell LeechGet where to put it, or default to a single location. LeechGet does the rest. I especially like the various ways you are kept informed of the progress of the download, from ##% to a pie chart in the task tray. Very cool program. The best thing you could do with this program is GET IT, come on, its FREE after all.

I've tried all the popular download managers before including DAP which really sucks. I gave up on them all. I decided to try leechget. I'm impressed and happy. Everything works and there are NO nag screens or ads. I don't know about speed increase and I don't care. I just want "resume" and no timeouts. Leechget does the job.

I was using Freshdownload of Freshdevices for awhile until I tried Leechget. Believe me guys this is the last download manager you will ever need. It downloads files really fast compared with the previous one I was using. I use a dial-up. The program has a lot more features compared with other download managers. It doesn't have spyware or adware and the best part is you can get the personal version for FREE with a few crippled features.

I have used Download Accelerator, but i bored with the ads. I have used also Goz!lla, or what ever was the name, and it was dew moments quite good program...but this one LeechGet is great piece of software, i really like it, one factor is support of Mozilla FireFox :)

Ok, I've been using this for aeons...its the best ever! totally awesome! Fast, clever and free. Now to get this working with Mozilla just get the "download with" extension and select Leechget as the DL manager!! its way better than the generic one, with this its TOTAL BLISS!!! I cant say enough good stuff about this app, it really is the proverbial dogs bollocks! the control panel is well laid out and the features are rich, you can select different profiles, you can set specific folders for stuff, you can sent your DL's to your virus scanner, launch any type of file upon completion......jeez its just awesome...

I have used before Getright, Gozilla etc, but LeechGet has something differnt from they. Is the fastest down-manager.

I was using download accelerator the free version for a long time till it stopped working I found this installed it and its really good. I tested it by downloading the new version of Open Office on a dialup connection overnight of course, it downloaded the program in 3.5 hours not bad, if you need a download manager get this you won't be disappointed!

Leechget works very well. I use Mozilla Firefox mostly and here comes the problem. It works with a plug-in, but it can only be disabled by deleting the plug-in file and when Leechget shall be used again, it must be copied back again manually . Not very smart. Pressing as an examble... "Ctrl" when starting the download should bypass Leechget. I am waiting for an update from the development team... a version 1.2 The sooner the better.. Regards Palle

I've been using this program for a couple of weeks, and I have to say it's all in all a pretty good program. It has many, many features. This is kind of a lite version, there are some restrictions. That is the only drawback of this program. One of the restrictions is the limitation of only 8 concurrent downloads, but I don't know that I'd ever need to download more files than that, at one time. I recommend this program. It's pretty decent.
