Here is the reason for Kleptomania: An application crashes and pops up a text that passes your comprehension. It is supposed to tell you what went wrong, but you don't understand it. You need that text, for searching on Internet or for mailing it to your support. But you can't copy it. With Kleptomania you can! Then you can search for things like "EA36AA0F90982F9F29D020D9D5AA9AC9", or your support can, without risking not to find it because you mistyped something!
