Given the features it has you couldn't find a simpler program. It encrypts the password file, it stores associated urls, it has a nice drag and drop functionality and it has a decent password generator. The minimalist design is a real plus for me too. Most password managers use way too much screen space. I would give this program a perfect score if it sorted automatically (I'm not kidding, you sort it yourself) and you could create folders/groups for passwords (one long list gets annoying). Those missing features are starting to wear me down and there's no update in sight. I'm still looking out for a replacement but nothing has come close yet.

The major gripe I have with most password managers is that they're too complex. KeyWallet is a very minimalistic password manager that still gets the job done. Don't be fooled by the screenshots. Put the right skin on this thing and it looks pretty good. The drag and drop feature works great every time and you can customize the drop behavior too. One thing I don't like about it is the lack of sorting. If you want your keys alphabetical you have to do it yourself. The one major downside is that it hasn't been updated in ages. They keep promising a new version will come out but I'm not holding my breath.

This program is targeted at the tech savvy users. It looks good and is very easy to use. Features are pretty much the standard ones except the drag and fill feature which allows you to fill the whole form in your browser by dragging the key over it. That's nice indeed. I'm glad that they made it a freeware app. The big drawback is that you can't use it on a USB stick.

This is a very good program for keeping any logon accounts - username/password/url details. Skinnable, and easy to use, with a good backup option. B U T !!! It lacks a grouping feature, that results in details being listed line after line after line - painful to use after a while, unless you have less than about 10 accounts. Sorting is done by drag n drop within the main window. A good option is the program allows any account to have the ENTER key activated after the details have been dragged to the logon box. This means you don't have to click buttons or hit the ENTER key at all. All in all a very good program for a limited number of user accounts - about 10, but for high users - forget it, there's better around.

I've tried lots of password managers and this is my favourite. I've been using it for the past 5 years with no problems. Before using it seriously, it is a good idea to test the various feature and to make sure that you know how to export and import your passwords to at least one backup file. It's quite easy to think you have exported to a backup OK and then find out later that you haven't. The ability to customise the wording of the descriptions is brilliant. That alone makes it my favourite. If only they would produce version 2!
