I saw this and laughed as I just removed this from my sister's PC a couple of weeks ago. She's on dial up and this was a complete joke. Speed up what? It caused many disconnects, and in actuality, seemed far slower than running straight dial up. I don't recommend this to anyone and it's all a light show, nothing solid. You can't get blood from a stone, that would apply highly to ICB2000 attempting to "speed up" dial up connections. The only thing I can say is, it's free.

I was very impressed with this little program by DSL speed improved right away. I have tried other programs without increase in speed.

There are many products that claim to speed up modem connections. 99% of them don't work and the other 1% barely have an effect. Those that do have an effect often accomplish it by reducing visual quality of pictures. This software is part of the 99%. The speed limitations of 56K modems are caused by sneaky tactics of phone companies. True 56K hasn't existed for years. At most, you will get 33.6 no matter where you live or which ISP you use.

I went to the Authors website thinking there may be a Newer version. Well, I was wrong, Not only was I wrong...I got a POPUP! on there website after X'ing out of their page. Popups, Very Bad for Business. Flash32

I installed and ran this program correctly but unfortunately it had the opposite effect of what it was for. Instead of boosting my connection, it actively slowed it down. Not only did my cursor behave sluggishly, but accessing favourite web sites took noticably longer than on previous average. I tried it at different times to make sure it wasn't a case of it being a busy time on the net. The interface is clear and uncluttered and easy to use. I'm sorry I can't say better than that.
