Awesome zip utility
Ok, it`s fast, easy to use, faster than Winzip and I`ve been using Winzip for YEARS. Now, IZArc is my zip utility of choice and is simply excellent!

Must have
If anyone is looking for a solid, light weight easy to use compression tool this is a must have. It does everything I could ever ask for, and more, in a compression software.

Excellent program
Convenient tool I am wondering when it will compress to rar too. A small question, what the left panel used for? For me, I think it is a file explorer, but it is not working that way. As it only display the current zip file, why not put it in one line and leave the browser search for the archive?

It beats the rest by miles.
I have been using it since version 3.1 appeared on the scene. And ever since then, it's my default compression tool. At times it (version 3.81 build 1550) does fail to open password-protected RAR files. I hope this minor glitch is fixed in the next build. It's a must-have, so don't wait, download it now!

Great product
I have been using IZArc for a couple of years and have to say it is simple and does everything I want. Really like the ability to make self extracting Zips. A Big help on more than a few occasions.

Nice software, nice interface, but...
I am security conscience and the fact that this supports ZIP-AES encryption I think it is important for a product like this to be open source. I have no idea if the author has built in a "back door". However, this does have a better interface than my zip/7z product of choice and it is a plus that it also has a command line interface add-on. If the author opens up the source, I'll be first in line to make a donation.

Very nice!
I have been using IZarc for about a year, and I think it is the best freeware archiver. One thing though, It sometimes can not zip up certain exe files, maybe it doesn't recognize them. All in all, I think this program is great, and everyone should give it a try. I always test my compressed files after compressing them with Izarc, and it hasn't ever corrupted a zip file. I get far more use out of Izarc then I ever have with Winrar. Thanks for a great utility.

Great program, but beware!
Overall it does everything that it's supposed to, and it's nice to have one program to handle all formats. Beware though that there is a major bug that has the potential to result in file loss. I've discovered that when using the context menu to decompress 7-zip files, that files within directories and sub-directories do not get restored. If you delete your 7z file after decompressing, thinking that all the files had been restored, you would soon find that they had not and have now lost them. Such a thing would probably be rare, but I'm sure there are circumstances where the loss might be permanent if you weren't careful and didn't have a backup somewhere.

Can't compress different language filename
Everyone's rating to this s/w is so good. But when I try it, I found it can't compress different language filename. Compression for English filename is generally alright.

One among the best..
There are many zip programs available nowadays that works good. IZArc is one among those. However, I feel, the zip file icons and the zip progress window should be better for this program. If one have too many zip files in a folder among other files, then IZArc icons seems to be overshadowing other file icons. Then 7zip option of IZArc does not seems to work all the time. Anyway for the regular needs, IZArc is better one.

Encryption
This is a very neat program that offers fine compression plus the ability to encrypt files. I have stopper using Axcrypt as it takes too long to unencrypt. Only problem I have encountered is some people with antivirus software report that the compressed filed are infected when they are not.

Excellent
Works well in Win9x/Me and Win2k. Can handle a large number of formats, and is generally stable and bug-free (aside from a few minor interface foibles). Very good help file. About the only thing missing is an SFX option for the 7z format (something that could EASILY be rectified, IMO). If you're going to settle with one do-it-all archiving utility, this is it.

... i am happy with it ...
I have been using WinZip 8.0 and later 9.0. I was not happy so I tried IZArc, and it was a good move. I am happy with it - easy to use, does what I need. I did not try ZipGenius (other highly recommended program) so I cannot compare to that.

Excellent archiver---all-in-one.
This is a very well written and convenient piece of software. It opens nearly any type of archive you are ever likely to come across and has customizable shell add-ons for the context menu. As good as, or better than, Power Archiver and free to boot. It opened a rar archive that WinRAR and PA said was corrupt and the file inside was in perfect condition. Get it while it's still free. I wish it had a right-click "Compress to Cab" option, but that can be done by opening up the program.

Good with some exceptions
I have been using IZArc for quite some time. I really like the interface, with the folder tree on the left, a la Windows Explorer. However, I recently had a problem with some large (over 10MB) zip files with a pretty deep folder structure in them. IZArc would not extract the archive. It would tell me the archive was corrupt. I was able to extract the files individually, but not as a whole. I downloaded WinZip and it opened the archive just fine. I'm not sure if this program uses its own zip routines or some of the free ones floating out there, so I don't know if the problem is specific to IZArc or not. I've since switched to ZipGenius and though I don't like the GUI as much, it has been more stable for me, and I have not experience the same problem. IZArc is great other than that one problem, which rendered it useless to me.

Great program, one complaint
This is my absolute favorite compression utility out there. Simply amazing. My one complaint is that when I make .7z files the status box goes immediately to 100%, even though it may take quite some time to finish the compression. This problem doesn't exist with other formats, though. Overall, a great little program.

Real good software
As far as I know the best zip manager around. All the features you can desire for free. Commercial softwares have only one extra thing: a cost! Make this one your preferred zip manager. By the way I have Win 2000 with SP4 and no problems at all (as mentioned by revvdo some post ago)

Izarc caused windows problem for me
After I installed IZArc 3.4.1.6 on Windows 2000 SP4, Explorer would crash anytime I tried to delete a file or a folder. I removed IZArc and the problem went away. I never actually used IZArc or looked at its interface so ignore my ratings. I'll probably try Filzip or ZipGenius instead. The reviews I've seen generally rate IZArc up there, with those two and others, so you may get better results than I did.

A free program we must support
It's a very good graphical zip utility. Even if I personally dislike the icons it displays in the explorer... Indeed one of the firsts programs to support the 7-Zip format as a complement of the usual ones (rar, ace, zip...). A real concurrent for commercial zip programs. And a very good one indeed.

Good tool
There are quite a few good, free zip tools around. This one is my current favourite. Handles 7zip and will open most anything. Simple to use with right-click options. It would be stupid to pay for something like Winz*p or Winr*r when something like this is FREE.
