I tried many other software to restore my files, but this was the only one that managed it. Someone mentioned it doesnt correct damaged partitions. However, believe me it does! My hard disk would not even get detected by the BIOS most of the time, and would not show up in windows at all. But this piece of software found the partition, and restored all its files. Even though the Hard disk was badly damaged and corrupted. Excellent piece of kit.

Works great to undelete files. NT user saved all files in personal folder on a profile. The profile got recreated with everything gone. Scanned the drive and rooted through some of the no named file trees in the interface and found all the missing files easily enough. The shareware only allows 1 file per day for 30 days recovery, so registration will be required for a big job, however, it's competitively priced.

Tried several programs to recover files from a Sony Memory stick. This one worked... recovered all my missing pics. Period. Simple to use. Intuitive interface. May the software Gods bestow their blessing on the ever so humble and deserving programmers! May you become the next Bill Gates!

To clarify the title of my post, this application will not recover files if your HD becomes corrupt (the MBR) and you lose your partition. Of course, I've tried many, many pieces of software for this purpose and none have impressed so I was disappointed that this software didn't do it but it will undelete files. Nice interface and very fast. A good application in that regard. Still searching for the holy grail of recovery apps, though...:(

Excellent utility for Freeware. The name says it all - "Handy" Recovery. I played around with this for days,on HD's,old Floppy disks,and Digi camera Cards. This utility shows everything you've ever had on them (and allows to recover them),if you hadn't deleted files securely with a method like 3-7 overwrites or 35 Gutmann. In fact,using this program can be a scary revelation. You'll see entire previous file activity,and be able to recover those files you thought were old history as far as you were concerned. All those naughty Porn pics you thought were untraceable? There they are for prying eyes to see or recover 70% of the time. Sometimes very old files are too corrupted to be recoverable,if within a folder constantly being used for new files. But out of 10 listed files,you're usually able to recover about 4 of the files listed.Sometimes,all are recoverable. Give it a shot. I use it often to test Secure erasing programs.
